I came in home late, just as I entered my private rehearsal room my eyes landed on all the prize and certificates on the wall. But, one particularly caught my attention. It was that very special Sunehri Takhdeer ki Topi, which I won from DID Season 2. The journey was very memorable but that finale moment was the breathtaking part of my life. My last ArSha Khuda Jaane performance with Kunwar on the stage of DID, us being giving the title of best dancing couple of the series, me receiving the title of LUX Khoobsurat performer of the series, the last Super 6 participants act & finally me being awarded with that golden hat of the best moments of my life.
Life plays it's own games, when in childhood I was ran over by a bike on my left leg, I was told that I won't be able to dance ever again. That moment I wanted to cry my heart out that why with me? Dance was, is and will always be my life and not dancing for a day that thought even kills me. But thanks to my awesome parents and with the support of Neeti Di, Kriti Di & Mukti, I overcame with injury and today I'm one of the best dancer recognised in India as well as Internationally.
My guru Terence Sir was always there for me during my thought times in rehearsals but there's always a saying, when your master is here then nothing to fear. Every act & lift was beautifully done when I trusted hole heartly on Kunwar. Never he let me down, infact we were proud of each other. I always laugh recalling how many times we hugged each other after the performance and during the comments, barely 7 times I guess. That song is very special to both of us as we performed 4 times on it.
D3 was the most fun packed journey I had with my all crazy friends cum co-actors. I found some new friends in between them which I still cherish. JDJ, were I had given all my will power and my best performances along with Tusshar. Dance+, the place where I had to be a master and see other dancers as contestants were most tough time of my life as I knew how it felt when you are this close to selection or elimination. Now, NrityaShakti is were I get some peace after all the hectic things going on in my life. But, when you have the best team beside you nothing can stop you from reaching the heights of your dreams.
Everyone told me being a girl you have a restricted job with a 8 to 2 schedule but I said no. Thankfully, my family supported me equally as my sisters. Being from Delhi was kind of though to get into the media filled but again life can open millions of doors for you but it's in your hands to choose the right path.

"Mom! When I grow up, I'll surely become the best dancer like you and dad." -said a 5 year old Oyeshi hugging Shakti tight on her leg pulling her back to present.
"Of Course you will now go to sleep as a great dancer needs a good 8 hours of sleep." -said a young man entering the room in soft voice, kissing the little girls pink cheeks.
The girl ran out of the dim lighted room and he pulled her by the waist. For a moment she gasped but calmed and smiled softly.
"Thinking about old times and how our lives changed from no one to someone?" -he asked.
"Yeah but also that even being in DID and winning the title, I always felt that I had a lot more to achieve. Today, I found out what was missing, first is finding you and second is me being a women in full sense."
She asked for his hand sort of asking for a dance kneeling down on her knee but he made her stand straight instead and played a beautiful music. He moved forward and murmured softly in her ears.
"Before being my soulmate you had an identity of your own, and I want to you revive that moment once again. Forget that your Mrs. Singh but remember you were once Shakti Mohan and today I want to see that same Shakti whom I met 7 years ago. Who had the burning passion of dance and was the swan on the lake."
The precision in each of her footwork, pointed toes and splits were fine and smooth, she danced gracefully and no one can think that she's a married women and mother of a child with that perfect slim body of hers. As she finished her dance, he engulfed her in a hug and kissed softly on her forehead.
"Thanks Kunwar, for reminding me who I was and make me feel special."
"Anything for you Jaan, 7 years ago you had achieve the best dancer's title and I don't want you to lose yourself in family. My every girl should be like you, cause for me Shakti: Girl Power."
"But this Shakti is incomplete without her Amar, Amar & Shakti means Immortal Power and that's what we are."
"Your right, I always thank god twice you know as I always wished to him ke mujhe Shakti do and today your with me."
She hit him playfully on the chest when he caught her wrist and pulled her close pecking her lips.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"I love you three."
"I love you four."
"I love you more."
She pouted as he chuckled, he lifted her in bridal style and exited the room heading towards their bedroom were they made love all night.
*The End*
