Girl's Night

Ella's POV

I arrived at the Harper's house with Mae five minutes ago. Dawn gives me and Mae a hug.

"Hey guys!" she says. "You ready to have fun?"

"Totally!" Mae squeals.

"I made the boys promise not to bother us tonight."

"That's great," Mae says.

"Yep," I say.

Dawn leads us to her room. It's really pretty.

"Cool room Dawn," I say.

"Thanks."

"Hey ladies!" Dicky says, appearing in the doorway.

"Dicky, what are you doing here? Remember your promise?" Dawn asks.

"Right. Sorry." He still doesn't leave.

"Dicky!" Mae whines. "Please leave. It's girls only."

Ricky and Nicky walk in.

"Hey ladies," Ricky says. Nicky keeps looking at me. My face is red. I can feel it.

"Guys. Please leave. Or I'll get mom," Dawn threatens.

"You're mean," Ricky says.

"Bye Mae. Bye Ella," Dicky says sadly.

"What about me?" Dawn asks.

"You don't get a goodbye. Meanie." Dicky says.

Then the boys leave. I giggle a little. Dicky's funny.

"Why do you keep giggling at everything Dicky says?" Dawn asks. Then she gasps. "Do you like him?"

"No... I like someone else."

"Who?"

"One of your brothers," I say.

Dawn looks at me like she's expecting me to say more. When I don't, she says, "I have 3 of them. Which one?"

"Um..." I say.

"You don't have to tell us," Mae says stepping in. "Right Dawn?"

Dawn groans but says  fine.

"Okay then. Let's get this sleepover started!" Dawn says.

2 hours later

Dawn's mom brought us popcorn and now we're watching a movie. Mae is asleep though. She always sleeps early. It's only 10:45pm. The lights are off and Dawn and I are sitting quietly on her mat.

"Hey," she says.

"Yeah?" I say.

"About my brothers-"

"Just forget about it okay?" I say.

"I just wanna know. I promise I won't tell anyone."

I sigh. "Fine. You really wanna know?"

She nods eagerly.

"Nicky."
