My eyes open to the sound of an alarm beeping by my side. I turn my head and reach my arm out from the warmth of my blanket and lightly tap a button on the alarm, causing it to silence. Yawning, I sit up and shift my body to the side, dangling my legs over the side. 'School starts in one hour.' I inform myself as I stand. Taking my school clothes I picked out the night before, I head to the shower.
Humming to History Maker (😂), I wash my hair and body, rinsing my hair out afterwards and carefully stepping out of the shower.
I have 30 minutes to make breakfast and also get ready. After putting my clothes on, I head downstairs to make breakfast.
As I was making bacon, my phone goes off in my back pocket. Sliding it out, I answer it.
"Hello?"
"Marco! Hey! Could you be a best friend in the entire Maria Wall and come pick me up?" Jean's voice beams. I smile, hiding a laugh. "What happened to your car this time?" I ask. The phone goes silent and all I can hear is the bacon sizzling.
"The door fell off." He" finally says. I laugh, shaking my head. "How!?" I ask through giggles, flipping bacon slices. "It was broken when I bought it and I thought maybe glue would fix it..." He trails off, realizing his stupidity.
Turning the stove off, I take the bacon and sit it on a plate before washing the pan and spatula. I only had a few minutes to eat. "So will you?" Jean asks, impatient as ever. I smile, taking a bite out if the crunchy food. "Yes Jean, I'll pick you up. Let me eat first." I say and take another bite. "Oo! What is it!?" Jean shouts in the phone. I wince, smiling. "Bacon." I answer. "Save some for me." He says. I nod although he can't see it.After eating breakfast and saving some for Jean in a zip-lock bag, I brush my teeth and head out to Jeans house.
I pull in, spotting Jean standing on the porch. He smiles and jogs to me. "Hey Freckled Jesus, got the bacon?" He playfully asks as he slides in, shutting the door. "First you should say thank you for the ride." I demand, giggling. "Oh thank you great and powerful freckled Jesus!" He says dramatically. I laugh, handing over the bag. He opens it and shoves a piece in his mouth and smiles. "You make the best bacon." He compliments through chews. I smile, a light blush smoothing across my face. "Thank you horseface." I say, using the nickname he hates. He glares at me, before shoving another piece in his mouth.
I pull into the college parking lot and unbuckle. Jean unbuckles too, crumbling the bag and throwing it at me. "Hey! Don't throw trash in my car! Levi will kill me!" I shout. Jean laughs and steps out of the vehicle, slamming it shut. "Why does he care? Its your car, not his." He says. We walk side by side to the building. "You know he's a clean person, I have to give him and Eren a ride today and he'll lecture me about tidiness...again." I mumble. Jean laughs and pats my shoulder. "He's a clean freak." He corrects. We enter the building, say our good byes and go our opposite ways.
