What if Natsu had died when Zeref was around?

Hey guys! :D This is my first fan fiction, well, my first story ever written. So, may not be the best however feel free to leave any improvements I could do! I'd love to hear what you would have to say! :D (You can even say something bad, i'll use it to improve my stories in the future!) I hope this is not too weird of a story line for you guys? Also, here's a question! Wanna guess who my favourite chatracter is? :D Sidenote: my grammer and spelling is awful. SORRY! Any way! ENJOY!

Slowly the black fog disappeared revealing a small body huddled on the floor. “Natsu?” Happy screamed as he saw his friends body lying lifeless on the ground, “Are you, okay?” . Small droplets of water filled with emotion landed next to his partner as he flew down to him. “You can’t be... dead?” shudders fell through their spines. Happy’s, Elfman’s, even the lovely lady’s, Evergreen.

“Happy stop joking around and Natsu be a man and get up!”

“Elfman, I don’t think he’s joking.”

“Evergreen, you too. Just SHUT UP. Ok, you’re not fooling me. I’m a man!”

“Elfman,” her eyes started misting up and she fell into his arms, “Just shut up and face the truth!” The tree’s swayed in the wind as total silence lay over the three remaining.

 Suddenly a rustling was heard from within a shrub and Gajeel deep voice was heard, “Salamander, can’t be... gone. Who else am I gonna fight?! Besides, I’d hate to admit it, he’s tough!” he laughed still looking at Levy. Happy flew above them, every now and then whispering or wimpering to nothing at all, “Please stop, it’s hard enough already without you messing around”

“But I’m not, you’re the ones trying to piss me off?”

“I’m not. We need help!” the blue faced cat screamed in the iron dragon’s studded face.

“Levy, what is he going on about, Natsu dead. Now I heard everything!” but nothing showed on her face, “Hey shrimp, you all right?” he asked looking deep within her eyes, “Shrimp?”

“Gajeel, look,” she whispered, staring towards the ground about two meters away, and that’s when he saw it.   

Gajeel kneeled down, looking at the figure before him. A small tear rolling down his cheek.

“Gajeel are you, crying?”

He wiped his tears away and glared at the one who mocked his name before crying again, “SALAMANDER! WAKE UP!” he screamed before collapsing on the floor next to Levy.

“Gajeel, please stop crying... I know it’s hard but, please?”

“Never. Never have I managed to kill someone, even while in Phantom, but, this is...” he trailed off, never completing his sentence. “How dare he.” Dust trailed behind his as he ran off, Levy following after.

At that moment Lucy ran in followed by Gray, Cana and Loke hoping that what she heard was not true, “Where is he?” no answer, just a slow movement revealing a path to her first friend. “H-Huh” her voice trembling at the sight she saw before her. Step by step she got closer towards him till a small whisper came from her mouth and erupted into screams of horror at the sight she saw. “What happened? Where is everybody? Why him?” so many un-answerable questions filled her mind as she stared deep into his pitch-black eyes.

“Lucy, calm down. I’m sure this is just a prank that Happy’s pulling, he’ll get up in a minute.”

“DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A JOKE TO YOU!” she collapsed, pressing her head against his warm chest. How is he still warm? She wondered, going deeper and deeper into things that she thought she could share with him in years to come but, no. Further and further she fell into memories that she made with her own fire dragon, “I’m all fired up,” she mumbled before being woken from her trance by a herd of footsteps and various gasps.

Everyone was shocked, asking what happened even tears were being shed from people she thought hated him. Everyone was crying till she saw the masters face. His eyes were filled with a cocktail of hatred and sadness while at the same time wanting revenge for the death of one of his own.

“Everyone shut up!” he roared before growing to the size of island itself. “Everyone must get off the island at once as it seems we have a foe that is willing to kill to achieve his goals.

“But master...?”

“No buts. Just go. I have other things to sort out. Elfman, take Natsu!” at that point the master started walking off, crushing trees while doing so.

“Master! Where are you going?” several screamed, chasing after the man who just order them to leave, “Why are you leaving us?”

“I’m not”

“So, where are you going?”

He spoke one word before disappearing off into the distance, “Revenge!”
