Chapter 4///School Musical

Liza POV:

Gabbie and I were walking into school when I saw a poster on the wall for the fall musical.

Liza: Omg Gab look! Should I sign up?

Gabbie: I mean if you want your reputation to go down the toilet than yeah!

I rolled my eyes at her remark and headed for my locker. I always wanted to be an actress in a movie or something. Just the thought of entertaining people sounds so fun.

 As I got to my locker I glanced behind me and saw David Dobrik walking in my direction. I kept stuffing my books in my locker waiting for a tap on my shoulder or a hi from him but he just kept on walking. "He was probably rushing to get to his class" I thought. The bell rang and everyone cleared the halls and went to their homeroom including me.

David POV:

Of course I was late to school like I always am. I quickly walked down the hall when I saw Liza at her locker. Her and I are in a flirty type of relationship I guess. I really like her but I pretty sure she doesn't like me. Zane told me she definitley does but I think she is just being nice. I was about to stop and say hi but I didn't because I get really nervous around her. Also I didn't want her to think i'm some creep who is obsessed with her.

Lunch

Liza POV:

I grabbed one of the posters on the wall that had info about the school musical so I could read about it during lunch. I had to find at least one person who would do it with me.

Liza: Come on Gabbie, just do it. It'll be funnnnnn!

Gabbie: There is no way! I'm trying to get with that boy Robbie from science class and he doesn't date weird musical kids.

Liza: Heyyy we are not we1ird.

Gabbie: Pfffff ok.

I looked around to see if there was anyone else who I could persuade. Then my eyes locked with the one and only David Dobrik. He looked away real fast and I could tell he was listening to my conversation with Gabbie. He was way too much of a cool kids to ever do a school musical. I guess I'm doing this all on my own.

David POV:

The school musical......how hard can it be.

Next day

Liza POV:

Today is the day of tryouts! I found out yesterday that we were doing "Grease" so i'm auditioning for the role of Sandy. I'm so excited but nervous hopefully I get the part.

I grabbed my music and waited outside the classroom with all the rest of the students. I was studying my lines when someone sat next to me. I didn't think much of it and instead just focused on memorizing my lines. Then I heard the deep voice that makes my heart skip a beat.

David: Hey Liza.

Liza: David oh my gosh what are you doing here?!

David: Well, I knew you were trying out so I thought I'd give it a shot as well.

Liza: No way, thats awesome!

Director: Next is...Elizabeth Koshy

David: Good luck.

Liza: You too....you'll need it

I said with a wink before disappearing into the classroom.

....... 

David POV: 

Yeah.....I'm doing the school musical. So what. I get to be with Liza Koshy everyday after school for the next 2 months. Sounds good to me!

I found out we were doing "Grease" so why not go out for the part of Danny. Whats the worst that can happen anyways? 

........

Director POV:

Judge 1: Has everyone made their final decision for our two main characters?

Judge 3: Yup, I think we've made a very good decision.

Judge 2: Agreed! It is going to be an awesome show.

Director: I will go let the kids know.

......

Liza POV: 

My audition went really well but now i'm really nervous. David had to leave right after his audition for some sport thing so he won't even know until tomorrow.

Director: Ok here are the results. Everyone did amazing!

Everyone ran up to the list to see the what their role was but I stayed behind because my heart was pounding. I already knew I wasn't going to get the part because why in the world would they give it to a shy little freshman. Plus I look absolutley nothing like her. As every person went up and came back all of their reactions where different. Some people shrieked with excitement while others looked like they were about to cry. Finally when most of the people cleared away I went up to the list to see for myself. I put my finger on Sandy Olsson and dragged it over to see who got the part. I almost fainted right then and there. My name was on the paper! I got the part! I started jumping up and down because I was so happy. Then, out of pure curiosity, I checked to see who got the part as Danny Zuko.....
