Chapter 18

Alyssa's P.O.V.

I walk in the door and saw a trail of roses that disappeared into the hallway. I followed it to my bedroom door. The door was locked? i gently knocked on the door.

"Niall? Are you in there?" i whispered.

"I'm in here Alyssa." I heard Niall voice whisper back.

I followed his voice into my kitchen. When i walked in i saw a medium sized box wrapped in galaxy wrapping paper. There was also a cake covered with teal fondant and pink frosting for the letters that spelled out 'Happy 20th birthday baby!' and a couple of hearts here and there. Niall walked over to mean and gave me a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Happy birthday Alyssa!" he whisper-yelled.

"Thank you. This is so sweet of you."

"Its nothing really. But i do want you to tell me what you think of the cake." he said cutting me a slice.

It looked like a chocolate cake with maybe some vanilla frosting in between the layers. I took a big bite of the cake and it tasted amazing!! I was correct about the vanilla frosting but the cake was like the best chocolate I have ever had. Niall started to smile brightly when he saw me take another big bite.

"Do you like it?"

"Yes! its amazing. This is better then the cupcakes at the bakery down the street."

"Wow. You enjoyed it that much?" He asked a little relieved.

"Yeah you should have some." I encouraged him handing him a bite

"Ok!" He then ate the bite of cake off the fork while it was still in my hand.

"It is delicious." He said looking up at me with a seductive look.

My cheeks cheeks went completely red.

"It really is." I agreed.

"Well I'm glad you like it. It took me all day to make. I even had Harry help me."

My eyes widened. He made this?! He did all that hardworking for me?. I pulled me by his collar and kissed him. He pulled me up into an embrace while kissing me. We just stayed there in kitchen making out. He pulled away smiling that beautiful smile of his.

"Here I want you to see what I got you."

"Ok!"

He handed me the beautifully wrapped box. I almost didn't want to ruin it, but Niall insisted. I ripped open the gift and opened the box. There were a couple of things in it, though the thing that caught my eye first was an upside down picture frame. I flipped it around. It was the pictures we took this morning. There was a goofy one, a scary face one, a genuine smiling one, but the last one was adorable. I hadn't even noticed him taking the last one this morning.

It was a picture of him blushing and me kissing his cheek. He added a caption to them. The goofy one had 'the reason I smile', the scary one had ' the next horror film villain!", the smiling one had 'lights of my world', and the kissing one had ' the only reason I wake up.'

I was tearing up at this point.

"I-I love it." I grabbed him and squeezes him tightly.

His grip on me tighten too, but he wasn't squeezing me. It was like a really warm bear hug.

"There's something else I want to show you."

He grabbed my hand and pulled me along. I followed him to my bedroom door. I gave him a puzzled look, but he just smiled sweetly back.
