"You can do this", I said with clenched fists, like daggers.

Three steps above me, Char was struggling with two large suitcases.

Fun fact: She spent a good two minutes pulling them up each step. And as soon as she finally took a step, I took a step immediately after, effortlessly, not forgetting to take sips from my favorite orange juice.

Another fun fact: I don't think she realised they could actually be dragged easily up the stairs.

Char pulled the suitcases again but they wouldn't budge. She looked up at the stairs; probably calculating how many she still had to struggle through. And in case you are curious, there were six steps left.

Probably realising she wouldn't make it on her own, she looked to me for help.

"Help me", it sounded like a request but I knew it wasn't.

I groaned. "Fine, I'll help". I handed her my half-full juice box, pulled out the long handle of one of the suitcases and effortlessly dragged it all the way up the stairs.

Sure enough, when I looked back at Char she was gawking at me like I was some magician.

"H-how did you d-do that?", she stuttered pointing at the suitcase I had successfully taken up the stairs.

"A magician never reveals her secrets"

She just gave me the look so I quickly added. "Oh, come on. You did know all suitcases came with the draggy-pully-thingy right?"

She didn't reply.

"Right?", I pressed, not wanting to believe my smart friend didn't know suitcases could be dragged.

Her silence confirmed my suspicions.

"Seriously, how could you not know that? What did you think the tyres were for", I asked trying not to laugh.

"Oh hush and help me with the second one", she said taking a sip from my juice box.

"Why don't you try it instead?"

She hesitated for a second but proceeded to try it anyway. She pushed the thingy and pulled out the handle and when she did this, her expression was priceless.

Like that of a child who just discovered candy.

She gave me a toothy grin before focusing her attention back on the suitcase which she dragged inquisitively up the stairs, and into the room.

I shook my head, laughing as I followed her into my room.

"Glitter gun", I said to Char, stretching my left hand to her not taking my eyes off the scrapbook I was working on.

She placed it in my hand as she spoke, "Imagine if we suddenly all find out something crazy like Ash and Orange are actually related", referring to Shane and Jason.

I answered not looking up from the scrapbook. "As if fate would ever be that kind to us? Stickers", I said stretching my hand out again.

She placed it in my hands and I gave it a quick glance. "No, not this ones. The blue ones", stretching my hand back out.

She gave me the right ones and spoke, "Okay, what if? Just what if it actually happens? Or if they both move here when I finally move in."

"Keep dreaming, pass me the sticky notes"

She passed the notes and stood up from the bed immediately, standing next to me by the study table.

She observed as I wrote in glitter on the sticky notes; "Fate, where are my coincidences? My crashes in the hallways? My chance-meetings? Fate why can't it be me too?"
