"Parker, wake up, honey" my mom comes into my room, and turns on the the light. I look at my watch, 6:30. WTF?!? I run out of my room, and into the kitchen where I find Mom making waffles. "Why the heck did you wake me up?!?!" I question her. "Because it's your 1st day of school. Don't you remember? 'Parker go to bed, you have school tommrow'?Augest 28th? It's on the calender.Go get dressed, and freshen up, then get your butt back down here and eat, I'm taking you to school on my way to work."

I did as she said, and on the way through town, I saw that the other houses where all about as big as our's, but not quite. I noticed that therer where only 5 ligit bisnesses besides the tiny school. A gas station, a restraunt, an Albertsons, a motel and a bar. Mom droped me off with a sceduel, and a wave.

I walked up to a large brick building, and entered. Inside, about 150 kids stood in a circle talking about their summer. As soon as I walked in the door, everyone looked at me, and greeted me accept for a girl that stood off by the water fountain. 'Damn she's hot!' I thaught to myself. She had long brown hair that was pulled back in a ponie-tail. She had on Mis Me jeans, DCs, and an Eminem hoodie. Athough it was obvious that she was a cutter, for her sleves where pulled up and revealed sevral cuts up her arm, I thought she was still cute.

I strode across the hall and introduced myself to her "Hi, I'm Parker," I said. "Hey city slicker" she snapped "I didn't know that they let people like you in thes place". WOW.... kinda rude if you ask me, but she's probably just upset. "Well, I guess they do, and I don't think that I caught your name" "thts cuz I didn't throw it at you, but it's Elena since you wanted to know" she cut me off. "That's a ni-" "what do you want city slicker!?! I mean, you don't belong in a place like Gonning," woah this girl had a temper. I'll try later. I walked away.

At lunch, Elena and sat next to me, and said "hey city slicker" with a smile. "Hey, I'm sorry for this morning.... I'm just not used to people talking to me, and I've been think'n, and we should hang some time." I couldn't belive it.... she actually seemed to like me! "Ok, that sounds good, and when, and where?" "How bout' the bar after school?" "Idk if the bar will work, but we can meet there, and then walk arround town?" "Ok, sounds like a plan." She walked away and left me alone to think.
