Love; it's a four letter word that means everything to each person. It is what defines a person, an animal―basically, every living thing. Everyone says that love hurts, but that's not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Everyone confuse these things with love, but in reality, love is the only thing in this world that can cover up all the pain and make us feel wonderful again. Love is one of the trendiest feeling in the word―well it is a main emotion people often possess.
Some fortunate people do, though. Because for an instance, Celestine Prior doesn't. And she always wondered why. She assumed she didn't have the time for such petty little things like love itself, boys, Valentine's Day, dates, or anything regarding with the thing called love. She has a knack for being a klutz, managing to destroy a heap of banners for her graduation day in which her older sister, Candice, supervises, chasing a puppy all around while all of your classmates are dancing in prom, spilling drinks from an unknown stranger and having an entirely stubborn yet smart attitude.
Celestine was once told she was curious about everything. She loved understanding people's reasons why they had to do such things: like why do people even care about oblivion? Why are so many people insecure about themselves? Why do people read the stupid shit called "The Fault in our Stars?" Why is there such thing as love?
Unanswered questions and peculiar facts ran on her mind. It was mind-boggling; although she wanted them to go away she just couldn't. It was kind of stuck in there, waiting for an answer. But after an unwanted school transfer due to a busy mom and a chaotic rally over the village, maybe fate decided that her answers should be answered by the one and only, Scout Andrews.
