I turned a page in the book I was reading, infatuated with it until a certain freckled boy walked up to me. I sighed.
"Heya, Harry, whatcha doin' here alone?" Ron spoke to me oh so not quietly, which irritated me. I closed the book I was reading and set it down on the table before leaning over to Ron.

"Hey, you're being a bit too loud..!" I whispered just as the librarian was walking past. She paused to look at us and put a finger gently onto her lips, a gesture telling us to be quiet. Ron rolled his eyes at me, grabbing me by my arm and pulling me but I stayed in my seat. "What the hell do you want..??" I asked through gritted teeth.

"We need to talk..! Now!"
"But I'm reading-"
"I said now..!"

Surrendering, I stood up and followed Ron out. I just hoped nobody would touch my book. As soon as we were outside the library, Ron turned to face me. I frowned a little. He looked worried about something. "Is something going on?" I asked him, crossing my arms over my chest. He nodded. Then he shook his head. I gave him a "are you being serious?" look, and he laughed sheepishly. "Well, it's to do with Hermione really.." He trailed off, looking down. "What about her?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"...Well she's sorta..changed.."

"Changed how?"

"She's become a bit of a rebel if you know what I mean.."

"What do you mean?"

"Harry, why do you keep asking me questions?"

"Ron, why do you keep beating around the bloody bush?"
He gave me a look.

"Elaborate for me, please." "Elaiborate?" Ron's expression changed to one of confusion.
"Explain." I sighed, and pushed my glasses up. He sighed and muttered, "Fine." After inhaling and exhaling slowly, he looked up at me. "She's cut her hair, starting to come late to classes, she's even acting differently!" I thought to myself, unconsciously tapping my foot. "How long has she been like this?' I asked, cogs whirring in my brain. "Well, since we've come back from the summer holidays actually," Ron replied. "I'm not sure what to do."

"Have you spoken to her or has she spoken to you since we've come back?"

"Nope, she hasn't spoken to me but I've tried speaking to her. She would say some mean things, but now she's just ignoring me..!"

"I think that it may be something at home that's causing her to be like this.."

"Ya think so?"

I shrugged and Ron seemed to go into deep thought. The bell rang, signalling for us to get to our lesson. We then made our way to our last lesson, Potions and as usual, we had Professor Snape. As Ron and I came in, Snape seemed to fly past us and Ron was slightly startled. Snape whirled around to glare at us for just a few seconds before turning back around and walking off to the front of the classroom. Settling in our seats, Ron saw a Potions book on the table nearby, grabbing it and then opening it to read. I sat down beside Ron, and then looked to the entrance, where people were coming in, "shouting" at one another as usual. I watched as many people poured in, but I didn't see Hermione.

Hearing a book being slammed onto the table immediately made me turn around to see Snape staring down at me. My eyes widened and he proceeded to speak. "Eyes facing the front, Potter," his words drawling out slowly. I stared back at him also. "Of course, Professor," I replied politely, and then looked down at the book. Snape then slowly walked off, and I sighed, relieved. Once everyone was in their seats, Ron then whispered in my ear, "She's here." I looked over to the entrance to see..well not what I expected.
