(((FIRST OF JUNE)))
(BLAKE’S POV)
“AAHH!” I yelled as something big sat on me.
“Wake up! We leave in an hour!” Alan yelled from his spot on my back.
“If I get up, will you get your fucking lardass off of me?!” I asked.
“Ooh don’t make me tell Austin!” He said as he rolled off of me. Austin has been really strict with cussing this entire time I have been here, though I don’t know why.
“Whatever, Ashby, You don’t have the guts,” I said as I pushed him out of my room. We were driving to Alaska to go to the first show and bonfire.
I walked over to my suitcase and pulled out a pair of Suicide Silence sweatpants that said “Wake Up” on them, a plain black cami, and my AJ Lee “Love Bites” sweatshirt. I carried my sweatshirt instead of putting it on. I quickly brushed through my hair and decided against putting on eyeliner, knowing I would pass out the moment I get on the bus.
I walk downstairs, pulling my suitcase and backpack with me. Austin and the guys are already outside, so I walk out there. There is a huge, and I mean HUGE, bus there that has the OM&M ampersand logo on it.
“Holy shit,” I mutter. Alan grabs my suitcase and leads me inside.
“Which bunk would you like, my lady?” he asks, bowing like an idiot.
“As long as I don’t hear… stuff…. I don’t care,” I say. Alan starts laughing and I end up getting the top bunk on the right, across from Austin and above Alan.
I put my clothes in the dresser thingy at the foot of my bed, take off my shoes, and lay down before falling asleep.

(J’S POV)
I sigh as I go through the picture albums with Jayy and Dahv. We all miss Blake. It is like this every time she goes on tour or out of town with one of the bands. A lot of the time, though, we mainly look through Carter and Ashley’s albums.
Meri was, and still is, huge into scrapbooking, so she got Sammi to photograph almost everything and put them into albums.
At the moment, we are looking through one of Carter and Ashley, leading up to and some shots of after Ashley’s death.
“I remember this! I remember reading about this!” Dahvie yells as he points to a picture. The picture shows Carter and Ashley singing together, Carter singing in Ash’s microphone and Ash singing in Carter’s.
“Yeah! That pic was on the cover of AP Mag that year, wasn’t it?” I ask. I knew Carter had hit it big like she always wanted, even if we didn’t talk much back then.
“Look at this one!” Jayy yelled, pointing to another picture. It was Carter and Ashley, again, covered in frosting and cake.
“That is from the Warped kickoff! That was the year we went and met them because they always played right before us!” Dahvie said. I laughed.
We turned a few pages and I came across a picture that broke my heart. It was Carter, standing next to Ashley’s grave with a black dress and a black mourner’s veil on. Her eyes were red and puffy as she held a single black rose. She had no idea that eight years later she would be right next to him…
Jayy turned the page and we saw an even sadder shot. Sammi must have snuck this when she was sleeping. Carter was curled in a ball on her bed. She was wearing a shirt that must have been Ashley’s because it was too big for her, and sweatpants. Her hair was fading from black and red back to brown, and her eyes were red and puffy. She was holding something that made a tear fall from my face. In her hands, she gripped the locket the Ashley gave her on their first date.
“I’m going to go to bed, guys. You can continue without me,” I said, my voice cracking. The nodded and Jayy stood up and hugged me. I sighed and hugged my cousin back.
I walked upstairs and laid on my bed. I plugged my iPod into its dock and turned it on shuffle. “Open Up Your Eyes” by Daughtry plays.
