Tylee followed Professor Sift through a dark hallway, a cool breeze blowing and chilling the air.
Thanks air conditioner.
Tyler thought. Finally the Professor stopped, leading her into a small room with a counter in the middle. Professor Sift asked Tylee to jump onto the counter, then rummaged through a drawer for a bit before pulling out a needle. Tylee tensed up, then grabbed her arm.
"Oh don't worry,"
Professor Sift calmed, a glint in his eyes.
"You'll only feel a pinch."
Tylee closed her eyes, then turned away and held out her arm.
"Good girl."
Tylee felt the familiar pinch of a shot, then smiled and looked at the Professor. He smiled back, then walked out of the room and locked the door behind him. Tylee tilted her head slightly, confused by his reaction. Suddenly fire seemed to burn through her body.
"Oww!"
Tylee whined, wriggling around on the counter, her skin beginning to prickle. The hair on Tylee's body grew longer and thicker, covering her whole body in thick, black fur. Her whole body seemed to shrink, and soon she was on her hands and knees on the counter. Her ears lengthened and moved to the top of her head, and her mouth and nose moved farther from her face, making a muzzle. Her hands and feet contorted and shifted to form paws, and she felt her hair being pulled into her scalp to match the fur on the rest of her body. Tylee felt a weight pull on her from behind, and then the burning and stinging sensation fizzled away.
What happened to me?
Tylee heard the click of the door unlocking, and Professor Sift popped his head out.
"It worked..."
He whispered, his eyes bugged out.
"It actually worked!"
"What do you mean it worked?"
That was what Tylee heard in her head, but with her new ears Tylee heard the yelp of a puppy.
"Oh yes I'll show you Tylee, just know I won't be able to understand you for a while."
The Professor rummaged through the drawers again, before pulling out a mirror.
"Here you are!"
In the mirror, Tylee saw a black wolf pup with blue eyes standing inside an orange jumpsuit.

Professor Adam Sift grabbed a brown leather collar and a matching leash from the drawers, and put the collar around Tylee's neck and attached the leash.
"Come along now, it's your pack's turn!"
Tylee leaped onto the tile floor, her senses suddenly on overdrive. She began to sniff around, following the Professor when he tugged at the leash. Soon she could smell her friends up ahead and tugged on the leash herself. When she did, the Professor yanked back, causing Tylee to end up on her rump next to the professor. He glared down at her with a scowl, his eye seeming to burn into her.

"You will do as I say and not go in front of me, or behind me. The only thing I give you permission to do is to tell your pack what to do, and even then, you tell them what I tell you to tell them."

Tylee felt fear fill her body, and her tail tucked between her legs.

"Now let's go."

Tylee stood up, following the professor step for step. Soon Tylee saw her friends, still standing like she left them. Tylee looked up at the professor who gave a slight nod before running toward her friends.

Maybe they'll understand me!

Tylee began yipping toward her friends,

"Run away! He's crazy!"

When the professor picked her up.

"Do you guys remember her?"

Amanda looked at Tylee, her green eyes shining with familiarity.

"This is Tylee."

Ryan, James and Katie gasped, before they were all lead away down the hallway she had come from, leaving her alone with the Professor.

"Let's go."

The Professor carried Tylee back through the hall to her cell-room.

"Now, stay here until I tell you to."
