//:// Okay so if some of you have read the un-edited version and are reading this and are like "huh? that never happened in the first book!" You are very much correct. I hated how the ending turned out and after re-reading the book over, I've decided to edit the whole book completely. Don't worry, if you've read the first un-edited version and don't want to read this version, I don't think you'll miss out on anything major, and I'll be giving a brief summary of the first book at the beginning of the second one although I do recomend you to read this one! YES THERE IS GOING TO BE A SECOND ONE! As soon as I get done re-writing this one, I'll be working on the second one. Okay, here it is! Go at it ;) //://
Prologue
“Mother,” I say tugging at the end of her skirt. She smiles down at me in question. “What color is that?” I ask while pointing down at the grass. Mother looks down in curiosity.
“What do you mean Isabella?” she asks and I shrug. “It’s grey, just like everything else in this colorless world.
“B-But, that’s not grey!” I say while stomping my foot irritated. Mother sighs while grabbing my small hand in hers as we travel down the busy streets. I look around in curiosity as weird mixtures of color blend into one another.
“You and your fantasies,” mother chided. “There are only three colors in this world Isabella. Black, being the darkest of them all, white, being the brightest, and grey, being in the middle,” mother explains to me. “Do you understand?” I gulp as I look around.
“Yes mother,” I say obediently.
It’s horrible, you know, to live in a world where you’re a freak. To be able to see something that no one else around you can see. I’m afraid to even mention the things I see, the colors. People are always talking about how you’re supposed to love your uniqueness, but how can you love something that can kill you? That can make people point fingers at you and call you a freak, or even worse… crazy. It’s hard to live in a world full of so many colors when everyone else is blind to them. It’s hard to see colors.
