"And after that, we went to a cafe. God, I swear their pasteries were heaven on
earth. Oh and after wards we went to an art museum too."
Tae enthused, his tall figure wincing with excitement. Haru let out a breathy laugh as he walked hand in hand with the male, listening to the adventures that he had in Paris.
It wasn't really abnormal for the two to hold hands, it's just this time— Haru felt like the small one. His soft pale hands intertwined with Tae's larger and veiner hands, noticeably showing the difference in size.
"Yah, does Paris make people grow?" He exclaimed, pointing in shock at his hands. Tae threw his head back (in pleasure ;) ) In laughter and cooed at the smaller one's shock,
"I'm probably just hitting a growth spurt dumb kid; nothing special." He shrugged, throwing his bag over his shoulder. Haru scoffed and rolled his eyes- his bottom lip sticking outwards a bit,
"Right, a growth spurt. JUST a growth spurt?"
"Okay, maybe a large one." Tae rolled his eyes, "Its still just a growth spurt though. You'll have yours eventually Haru-ssi." He encouraged, raising his free hand into a strong fist. Haru slumped a bit, his peachy blonde hair falling over his eyes,
"I already hit mine in the eight grade." He dryly murmured. Tae bursted out into laughter, abruptly stopping in the middle of the road. Haru huffed, staying put on the sidewalk,
"Yah! Come here before you get hit by a car." He yelled. Tae jogged back over, his eyes streaming with tears from his previous outburst.
"Ahaha, Haru you're such a cutie." He complimented with a hum from his deep voice. Haru gulped as heat rushed to his cheeks at an increasingly faster rate— he shook his head and grabbed Tae hand, pulling him faster across the cherry blossom covered town (oops I let my weeb slip out).
"Y-yah Haru what's the rush?"
"WE HAVE AN OPENING ASSEMBLY DUMMY I JUST REALIZED." Haru yelled, huffing with all this might. Tae laughed, running behind him with a lazy smile on his face.
"HOW ARE YOU SO CALM IM SLOWLY DYING FROM HEAT AND TIREDNESS."
"Well I have longer legs so-"
"Leave me alone we're here" Haru snapped, hunching down as he huffed looking up at the school building loom over them. He gulped, hoping his dry throat would lessen as he felt a soft pat on his back.
"There there, mr. Short legs. Let's go into the building." Tae comforted him. Haru swatted his hand away, before he stood up.
"Aish, okay mr. I just grew 10 meters over the summer." He teased , as the two eventually walked into the entrance of the school.
They opened the double doors, making it obvious of their entrance due to the massive amounts of light shining into the dimly lit gym where foldable chairs were set up and sat on by kids with post summer depression. Haru and Jeon sheepishly laughed as they felt the glare of the principal who stood on stage— his hands neatly folded behind his back.
"Mr. Tae and Haru am I right?" He hissed, unwelcomeness seething through his crooked teeth.
"Yes." The two boys said in sync, nervousness apparent in their shaken voices.
"Well then. Welcome to kelp high." He said in a serious tone, his gelled raven hair creating much more of an intimidating aura. Silence wavered in the air as Haru and jeon looked at each other with terror stricken in their black orbs until they felt streams of confetti waver over their bodies.
    "What the fu-"
"IM MISTER KEL, THE PRINCIPAL OF KELP HIGH AND I LOVE GAY SECKS HI" (cmon I gotta included myself in this fic) He exclaimed, a bold laugh escaping his mouth. Tae let out a surprised soft 'pft' as Haru stood there beside him, contemplating what just happened.
"PLEASE ENJOY YOUR TIME HERE AS YOU ADOLESCENTS HERE HAVE FUN STRESSING OUT BECAUSE YOU REALIZE YOU STILL HAVE A FUTURE A HEAD OF YOU" He cheerfully stated as he went back up to the podium, "STUDY WELL, BECAUSE IF YOU DONT. YOU WONT GET INTO A GOOD COLLEGE, AND YOULL DIE IN A CARDBOARD BOX." He chirped through the mic cheerfully as a tense silence took over the gym. Tae and Haru slowly clapped as the rest of the students started to join in with the applause. A timid, but loud applause that is.
Tae and Haru took a seat at the two conveniently placed seats right next to each other as their 'interesting' principal giggled to himself.
"Welp. Anyway, for all you adolescents out there, enjoy Kelp High— the building you'll be spending your next 4 years slaving away at!" He grinned. "If you need counseling, come to my office and discuss your problems with me! Why do you all have to go to me instead of an actual counselor? Well it's obvious silly!" Mr. Kelp laughed,
"We can't afford a proper school counselor! And we can't afford air conditioning either so when summer and spring comes along feel free to come to school shirtless I don't fucking care." He shrugged. Tae and Haru sat there, mouths agape as they both were trying to comprehend all the information they were receiving at the moment.

Tae leaned towards Haru a bit, "Do you understand any of what our nut-head principal  is saying?"

Haru sighed and locked eye contact with the males eyes, "Not a clue-"

"AND THATS ALL I GOTTA SAY. YOUR HIGH SCHOOL LIFE IS STARTING.... NOW!" Mr. Kelp yelled, pointing up to the ceiling. Tae and Haru jumped in their seats, shocked by the loud echoing voice of their obnoxious principal.

As Mr. Kelp pointed up to the ceiling. Everyone in the room gulped, expecting a whole mound of confetti to rain on them once again. All the anxiety driven students looked up waiting for the multi-colored pieces of paper to rain down from the ceiling until something wet, soggy and heavy hit everyone's faces instead.

"HAH YOU JUST GOT," Mr. Kelp picked up one of the green soggy things that rained down onto the poor students and grinned, "KELPED. AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA" he psychotically laughed. But instead of hysterical laughter following the principals joke, various groans were heard around the room as partially knocked out students sat there— some unconscious.

Tae and Haru sat there dazed. They both stared back at all their classmates who were,

- unconscious
- with seaweed wrapped all over their bodies
- terrified
- and screaming

And they both swore that what they had seen was a scene straight out of a horror movie. Silently, Haru let his head fall on Taes shoulder as he sighed,

"Cheers to the start of our Highschool life." He murmured, almost in a traumatizing tone. Tae nodded,

"Yeah, cheers to us too." He let a soft chuckle slip out of his lips as he returned the affectionate touch as well. A blush spread to Haru's cheeks as he cleared his throat and fumbled with his fingers as unknown feelings bubbled within his chest.

What were these feelings? Why did this happen whenever he was around Tae? His mind went through many theories and conspiracies about why his heart pumped at a faster rate and why blood seemed to rush to his cheeks more often when he was around the other male.

But then, after countless hours of thinking, That's when he realized. That's when the solution to his problem has been solved. He diddly darn knew the answer alright,

it was love.

And as cheesy as it sounded. That was what the reason was.

And Haru knew that he had to live with the fact that Tae would never feel the strong four lettered word towards him ever.

Or... maybe not?
