Chapter Sixty-two- Psychopath
Logan
"You need to stay on top of this John. I can't have you screwing up, it will look bad on me." Maverick said. I stood outside of Johnny's new office and I listened carefully.
"Yes, sir." He said respectfully and I sighed, feeling the stress and anxiety from Johnny in my system. Our bond was so strong I could feel every emotion he felt and he could feel mine.
"Logan? What are you doing, sweetheart?" Veronica asked. I spun around and she watched me curiously.
"Oh, I'm sorry I shouldn't be eavesdropping on them." I said. I didn't mean it but I also wanted to try and stop being so mean to people.
"I would be doing the same. Maverick is really hard on Johnathan but he respects him and he knows what he is capable of." She said taking my hands into hers. I winced slightly hoping not to get a memory but luckily I didn't.
"It's just stressful." I admitted.
"I know it is. You and Johnny are giving me two gorgeous twins, Johnny is becoming alpha, you will be the new Luna...it's a lot but I know you two can handle it." She said while smiling.
"I'm going to go lay down for a while." I whispered while making me way to the stairs.
"Are you alright, Logan? Maybe we should check in with the doctor." Veronica said and I forced a smile.
"I'm okay. I just need to be by myself for a while so I can think." I continued up the stairs and into our room. I sat on the floor at the foot of the bed and shut my eyes. These quiet times have actually been helpful, it was so quiet I could hear my heart beating steadily.
My heart began to beat slower and I felt myself slipping away. I wasn't falling asleep but rather leaving my mind to look at something else.
"Logan, Johnny...Greyson has anger issues accompanied with compulsive lying and manipulating skills for someone so young. She also shows a lack for emotions and empathy however she is not seeking to be alone." The doctor said. I looked down at my hands and I felt my heart race. I looked over as Greyson sat in a separate room, she was looking around and you could see the boredom written all over her face.
"So, what are you saying? When I was younger a doctor told me I showed signs of being a sociopath." I sighed.
"Greyson is leaning more towards a psychopath accompanied with anger issues. Keep an eye on her, make sure she gets regular exercise and try to make the best of the situation." He said.
"A psychopath..." I whispered while shaking my head. Johnny's arm went around my shoulders and he smiled.
"Greyson reminds me of you. She's a good little girl...despite her anger issues and manipulative ways."
"Prepare for a lot of calls from her teachers."
I zoned back in and I took a deep breath and placed a hand on my stomach. Maybe I should really change my ways, I don't want anything to influence Connor or Greyson.
"Why are you sitting on the floor?" Johnny asked stepping in.
"I'm just trying to gather my thoughts and have some quiet time. I am attempting to sort out my...feelings."
"Your feelings? You hate sorting out your feelings." Johnny said confused.
"I want to make a good impression on our kids. That means changing my ways."
"Logan, I don't want you to change. No one wants you to change, you wouldn't be Logan if you changed your ways."
"No. I would be a better Logan."
