A small house cat named Rusty with a pelt of fire always dreamed of being in the freedom of the forest.
One day, hidden in the bushes, Bluestar leader of ThunderClan, watched as Rusty attempted to catch a chaffinch in tge forest but missed by an inch. She sent the apprentice Greypaw to encounter him. They fought with each other and the hoyse cat outwitted the apprentice from ThunderClan. Bluestar emerged from her spot in the bushes to tell Rusty that she was a forest cat and said "Rusty, I am offering you a place in ThunderClan with Greypaw here. Have a think about it and meet me here tomorrow." Rusty was quite happy with the offer, but very unsure about leaving his soft life with his housefolk.
The next day, Rusty became known as Firepaw, then Fireheart, and finally Firestar leader of ThunderClan.
