My Own Personal Critic

A Heart Full of Mystery

So to start out, this is a story about a girl, her life, and the impact of words and actions. Her name is Jade. No one knows her completely. Jade is not one to let people get close to her, but even the few people that are the closest to her don't know her entirely. She is a mystery. As she gets ready for a meeting with a group of friends her mind wanders through the path of possibilities, only to be distracted by the music blaring through her headphones translating into exuberant color. Once she arrives, she gravitates toward Drake, Jasmine, Shawn, and Sapphire. These are the few people who are closer to her than anyone else. Opening up conversation with Jasmine she states "Hey! I love your new playlist. It's incredible!" In enthusiastic reply Jasmine exclaims "oh thank you! I'm really happy with how it turned out." Everything was flowing nicely in conversation, Winter came over and joined us for a while, over all it was a very pleasant time. Later that week Jasmine and I decided to go downtown. The sky was extraordinarily vibrant. After a while Jasmine informed me that Winter had been criticizing me incessantly. Hearing this news was quite dismaying. I have dealt with difficult people multiple times throughout my life. I've always been alright and able to continue on with my life. So that is exactly what I tried to do.  Drake, Jasmine, Shawn, and Sapphire are all outstanding people. They are wonderful and I know they would want to help me through anything. Some things you can reveal to certain people and you know they will have your back. I personally do not trust much of anyone so maybe that's why I conceal so much of myself. I'm in love with hiding myself from people. After all of these thoughts I finally realized that I hadn't finished my tea. Eventually I met up with Sapphire, now Sapphire is one of the coolest people ever. She can always make you laugh. She is excellent at looking at the positive side of people. She is creative, inspiring and you will always have an adventure with her. She is also one of the kindest people you will ever meet. This is only a scratch of the beautiful personality of Sapphire. We have been friends for as long as I can remember. Another one of our close friends is Jasmine. Jasmine is independent. She is thoughtful and understanding. She is logical, discerning, and very intelligent. Jasmine is the type of person who can do anything she sets her mind to. She is incredibly talented and will make sure  that you know how much you mean to her. Now to introduce to you the other half of the tribe, Drake and Shawn. Drake will bring life to any event. If any one on the face of the planets hurts one of his friends he will ensure that they know that they made the worst mistake of their lives. If one of his friends feels down he will relentlessly try to make them smile. He takes care of the people around him. He is enthusiastic and hilarious. He would stand by and protect anyone he cares about. The other member in our tribe is Shawn. Shawn is extremely skilled yet humble about it. He cares about others and their needs and is more than willing to offer help. He is very respectful. He is encouraging and intelligent as well as kind and creative. He is gifted with guiding and protecting. He is generous, thoughtful, and responsible. What is impressive about all of these people is I can count on any of them. No one knows your soul completely so no one can accurately define you as well as you can, they accuse you, assume about you, and claim things about you but they have no idea what they are talking about so everything they say is invalid, inaccurate, and tinted by the way they are determined to see you. A helpful way to disregard it is to busy yourself with things of importance for example, close friends, events that bring you enjoyment, and life goals. Sometimes people hate you because of the way other people love you.  As Jade intertwines between groups of people she encounters Winter, "You look very nice today." I state. "Oh thank you, so do you." She replied. I had decided to try to be nice to Winter regardless of the criticism. I don't understand what I did to her and she definitely won't tell me upfront. It is shocking how different a person can be compared to what they portray themselves to be in a moment. Winter has a passion for criticism, if something bothers her it cannot be simply overlooked. Anything Winter considers vexatious must be persistently discussed, even the slightest of things that don't involve her at all. I know there are always two sides to every story, I know mine, and I'm trying to understand hers. Every time I try a fog of confusion clouds my view, nothing seems to logically make sense. "What do you make out of all of this?" I questioned Sapphire. "Perhaps you can't understand her actions because you aren't viewing it from her perspective, you are viewing her actions from the perspective of how your heart would act and that causes confusion because you aren't seeing it from her personality. I would suggest attempting to let go of how you understand and try to grasp how she perceives things." Sapphire stated. "That is an excellent point, I'll try to remember that, thank you." I replied. This weekend I'm going to a camp, hopefully it will give me the opportunity to clear my mind from this situation so that I can properly apply the advice that Sapphire gave me. Over this past weekend a great amount of things have happened, but I'll start with what i have theorized about Winter.
-Reasoning behind her criticism.
Putting people around her down will cause her to appear better which brings her attention (weather she consciously intends for that or not) and if she feels hurt it could be satisfying to become angry at other people. I would think this is as an effect of being lonely
so logically in my mind I would wonder why she wouldn't just socialize more and gain close friends if she's hungry for attention so I was confused about why she was antisocial, but this is a new perspective I got.
-Reasoning behind her anti-socialism.
If Winter has been hurt she might not wish to socialize despite being lonely because if she did that would give an opportunity to get hurt all over again yet at the same time she's conflicted because she has a desire to socialize because it hurts to be lonely.
