A dark hair woman, in her early twenties drove along a isolated road on a average day. Along besides her sat a stunning, seventeen year old with a look of annoyance. The woman, Susan was driving the orphan to Cross Academy.
"Alex, you'll have a good time in school. Give it a chance," Susan told the seventeen year old.
Alex was in the passenger seat, looking out the window. On her pale, but attractive face held annoyance. Her eyes were fill with remorse, not wanting to come to this building. It was just a week ago when Susan and the rest of the Nuns from the orphan had broke the news, that she could no longer stay. "I don't wanna go," mumbled Alex.
Susan sighed and after a few minuets of silence, both see a building. "Here we are," Susan said cheerfully. Alex rolled her eyes and got her bag from the back seat and gets out the car and slams the door.
"Alexandra, please make an effort. I'm sure your Uncle would be happy to see you" said Susan getting out the car looking pleadingly at Alex.
"Oh Susan don't give me that pout."
Susan pouted her lips even more and made her blue, piercing eyes even more irresistible. Alex looked at her and breaks the silence. "Alright! Fine I'll make an effort, but just stop pouting."
Susan laughed and goes over to Alex and says seriously, "Thank you," and gives Alex a kiss on her forehead.
"I'll come to visit you when I can."
Alex nods. Susan grins a toothy grin and bats her eyes at Alexandra. Alex couldn't help but to let out a laugh, the wind chime laugh she had. It always amazed Susan how a tiny seventeen year old would have a god-like laugh, and voice as well. It left people puzzled. "Well Alex, I have to leave right now." Susan said, the smile disappearing of her pale, delicate face.
Alex's shoulders slumped and she mumbled a low 'okay.' Susan sighs and somberly walks towards Alex, and bringing her small body frame towards her. "I know you'll have a good experience here Alex. I can promise you that."
I doubt it, thought Alexandra.
Alexandra simply nods as she glances at Susan, the woman who practically raised her since her mother death in child birth. She knew deep down that her heart will ache once Susan will leave. Susan gave Alex another hug, but this time tighter. "I'll see you soon." She whispered. Susan then headed for her red small, car and got in. She made a U-turn and honked before disappearing off into the corners of the woods.
Alex continued to stare at the long and distant road, biting her bottom lip. She had no clue what to do now. Her life was practically over now. She had been dropped off by her mother in all purposes at a school where she had no clue it even existed. She was not comfortable with the idea of being at a school filled with many teens who already knew each other. She always had trouble of making friends, even at the orphanage.
Alex bended her knees as she reached for her bags. With a miserable sigh, she starts walking. Her eyes glances around the academy as she notices many students in navy/black uniforms. Her lips quiver at the sight and shut her eyes. "Great, I have to wear a uniform," she muttered.
"Hey!"
Alexandra looks back and sees a short, brunette girl running towards her as her brown hair flap against her shoulder.
"What now?" Alex muttered, glaring at the unknown female.
The mysterious female finally reaches towards Alexandra, out of breath. "Why aren't you in uniform? I'm afraid I'll have to bring you to the headmaster."
Alexandra simply shrugs and follows the girl. As they walked, Alexandra couldn't help but feel someone or something staring at her. But she immediately shook the intense feeling deciding it was just nerves. Once inside the building, both girls come to a halt at a door. The brunette knocks on the door urgently.
"Come in."
The girl opens the door, having Alex follow behind. "I'm sorry if I'm interrupting anything, but this student was walking around campus not wearing her day class uniform."
A male who was standing behind a wooden desk turns around, his blond hair whipping his trench coat. A smile swiftly appears on to his serious, yet odd face. "Alexandra!"
The male immediately runs towards Alex and wraps his arms around her shoulders into a suffocating hug. The brunette looks at the instant action of the headmaster and has puzzle features all over her face.
"Oh my, let me take a good look at you!" Headmaster exclaims.
He grabs Alex's small hand and forces her twirl, making Alex trip on her left feet. "Easy there," Headmaster laughs as he captures Alex. Alex lets out a small nervous laugh and glances at Headmaster.
"Er, excuse me Headmaster but who is she?"
"Oh Yuki, this is my niece Alexandra. She's my deceased sister's only daughter." Headmaster smiles, pushing Alex to Yuki.
Alexandra blushes and waves timidly. "Hello, Yuki."
Yuki's cheeks swiftly turn beet red and bows in apology. "I'm sorry Alexandra, I wish I knew," apologized Yuki.
Alex smiles timidly. Her sudden nerves and intense mind suddenly gone since she entered the room. "No worries, and please... call me Alex. Alexandra is very formal."
Yuki laughs lightly as she nods. Both teen stare at Headmaster who started to tear at the small reunion.
"Yuki, why don't you show Alexan- Alex to her room?" Headmaster suggested, smiling.
Yuki nods and pulls Alex out of the room. Both girls walk down the dark hallways quietly until they reach a solid door. "I hope you don't mind, but you'll be by yourself. There's no more room mates."
Alex shakes her head, not caring. "I don't mind. It's fine, thanks Yuki."
Yuki nods and smiles. She then looks at her wrist watch and gasps. "I'm afraid I have to leave you but I have a duty right now."
"It's fine, go do what you have to do. I'll be alright with that."
"Okay then," Yuki smiled and started walking down the hallway.
Alex turns to the door and opens it until she hears, "Oh, and Alex?"
"Yes?"
"Welcome to Cross Academy."
