I quickly got in the car, as soon as I was in the car shot forward and my head jerked back into the seat. "Alice what's going on?" she didn't turn she just kept her eyes on the road, so i tried again "ALICE WHAT'S GOING ON!" I demanded "Edward caught a scent in your room that he didn't recognize so Emmett and Jasper went to help him search the woods" Emmett and Jasper were Edward's brothers. Jasper was married to Alice and Emmett was married to Rosalie. Then there were Edwards adoptive parents Carlisle and Esme, I loved Edward's family they were so welcoming to me when me and Edward first started dating, everyone except Rosalie, she despised me because I was human.

We drove in silence until we reached the big white house i knew so well. When we were inside Edward was to my side at once, he kissed my the top of my head and then took my hand in his as we walked to the living room where Carlisle and Jasper were talking on the couch. "Do we have any leads on who this... intruder might be" Edward said, "no" Jasper said. Edward wrapped his arms around me and whispered in my ear "we will find them" i sighed and placed my head on his shoulder.

"whats wrong?" Edward breathed.

"nothing i'm just tired"

"will do you want to go home"

"yes"

I was really exhausted so Edward scooped me up and ran out to the Volvo, he gently set my in the car and kissed my lips softly, I smiled then he shut the door and was to the other side of the car in a flash. I shut my eyes and fell asleep.

When i woke up it was still dark, I shot up from my bed searching for Edward. I started to panic then i felt something cold touch my arm and i sighed in relief i turned around "you didn't really think I would leave you did you?" then he smiled the crooked smile i love so much.
