Everyone in Eastcliff was used to raising mythical beasts. It's what they did. Their town was private, and they had plenty of room.
Unfortunately, the number of mythical beasts was going down. Fast. As a matter of fact, dragons were said to have gone completely extinct years ago.
Evelina, a fourteen year old girl had always been fascinated in dragons. But, she had been given her own role. She cared, and raised, Hippogryphs.
"Hey, mom? I'm going out for a while!" Evelina shouted as she walked outside her home, only to be greeted by the enchanting beauty of the outdoors.
Currently, they lived in hollowed out tree trunks, but these weren't ordinary trees. These trees were almost 10 meters wide. Aside from the houses, the sky was a deep blue color, and fireflies danced around the area.
Evelina smiled as a small, white owl flew to her, hooting a greeting. She put her arm out, allowing the owl to land on it.
"Evening," She purred to the owl as she gently pet it. It hooted softly, as if appreciating her touch.
"I haven't got anything for you today," Evelina said, her Russian accent strong. The owl cocked its head and flew off in a cloud of white feathers, causing Evelina to shake her head dramatically.
Pushing her light gray hair behind her ears, Evelina traveled to the center of the town. The center of the town was known for its adoption center for creatures, and the 'get-together' place.
Opening the door, Evelina was surprised to hear everyone laughing and talking about something. She walked up to her friend, Lily.
"Lily, what's going on?"
"There's been a dragon sighting!" Lily replied, a smile on her face.
"What?!" Evelina screamed, sitting beside her friend.
"Yeah! A Time dragon... one of the most rare," Lily explained.
"A Time dragon? I've always wanted to see one.." Evelina said thoughtfully, her emerald eyes twinkling with excitement.
"Right?! What if we do?!" Lily said, pulling a strange creature from her lap and onto the table.
"Is that a Mystic Fox? Evelina asked, stroking the navy blue creature.
"Yup," Lily replied, and a small waiter came over.
"What would ya like?" She asked.
"Water," Lily said sweetly, and the waiter turned to Evelina.
"Nothing, I'm about to leave anyway," Evelina said, pulling her book bag off of her back as the waiter left. She pulled it onto her lap and pulled a book out.
The book's title was barely readable, the pages were yellowing, and the leather cover was torn and dirty.
Evelina opened the book, and went to page thirty-seven. She then pushed it toward Lily, holding the book open.
TIME DRAGONS
Time Dragons are the most rare and most dangerous species of dragon to exist. Having the ability to reverse time, forward time, or remain a certain age for centuries. Aside from these abilities, Time dragons also have a lot of unknown fighting abilities.
"People should just leave it alone," Evelina said as she put her book away.
"I'm not! I'll fill you in on everything that happens with it." Lily declared.
"Fine," Evelina quickly put her silky light gray hair into a ponytail and left, waving to Lily.

Evelina walked into the backyard of her house, picking up a hippogryph egg.
"Is she ready to hatch?" Evelina asked, looking at the mother hippogryph who was almost taller than Evelina herself.
The hippogyph shook her head.
Evelina sighed and put it back down, then walked up to the wall of her house, and pulled a saddle and bridle off of it.
"We're going somewhere," She declared, saddling up the hippogryph, hopping on, and flying off.
