I was supposed to tell Max the truth 3 days ago. The day I was supposed to tell him, he didn't come to school. I just shrugged it off, thinking he was going to come the next day. I was wrong. I asked one of his friends, Chris, if he knew where Max was. He said he was going to Village High. That's when my heart was broken. He was leaving, and I had lost my chance. I spent the rest of the day crying and yelling in my brain at myself. I can't believe I had done that. The next day, he came back to school, but it was only to pick up his supplies. As he was walking past my desk toward his, he put a note on my desk. It said, "Hey. I'm sorry I didn't tell u. Here's my #. txt me what u were goin 2 say." His number was at the very bottom in my favorite color, sage. I didn't text him that night. I just felt what I needed to tell him wasn't meant to be said via text message.
