The New Camper (a Percy Jackson fanfiction)

The meeting

I landed on the grass.

"C'mon show yourself you coward!" I screamed, batting at the air where Luke and Ethan stood. "I'm not leaving with out a fair fight.

Mr. D came and stood by me. "Pamela they're gone."

"They are not gone!" I shouted.

Mr. D laid a hand on my shoulder. "Yes they are, I'm sorry."

"They're here I know it!" I thought for a minute. "I know what to do. I got up and started running. I ran until I got back to camp. "Chiron!" I shouted.

Chiron walked out of the main house. "Yes?"

"Call a meeting to order." I said quickly.

"May I ask why?" He asked.

"Luke was here and he kidnapped Ethan." I told him. "We'll, what's the hold up? CALL A FREAKING MEETING!!!" I shouted.

"Counselors! a meeting is being called." He called.

One or two people from each cabin came walking to the main house.

"What the hell is wrong with you guys!" I screamed. "Run!"

A few kids started running to the main house.

Chiron sat the campers around a ping pong table. I saw Katie Bell, Annabeth, Percy and his brother Tyson, the Stoll brothers, Silena Beaureguard, Beckendorf, Clarisse, Castor, Pollux, and a few others.

I took a seat next to Katie as Chiron started talking.

"It has come to my attention that Luke Castellan has kidnapped Ethan Nakamura-."

Annabeth cut him off. "Then what're we doing here I'm going back to the cabin."

I stood up immediately. "Take a seat Blondie, this is important and it also means that your boyfriend Luke has also found a way to infiltrate camp. So sit down, shut up, and listen." I snarled.

(Where the hell did that come from?) I thought.

I heard Clarisse laughing silently.

"Aside from that note miss McShane, I think it's necessary we assign a quest. Not only for the safety of mr Nakamura, but also for the safety of Thalia's tree seeing as it has been poisoned. "There is one solution." Said Chiron.

"The Golden Fleece." Annabeth jumped in.

"Precisely." Answered Chiron.

"So a quest is being assigned?" Asked Silena.

"Yes. And I know just the person for it." Said Mr. D. "Clarisse, daughter of Ares."

"I accept." Said Clarisse. "I'll leave tomorrow."

"We have our recipient." Said Mr. D

"Hold on!" Said Annabeth.

"Deal with it blondie." Said Clarisse.

I gave her a thumbs up.

"In that case miss LaRue, you will need to consult the oracle." Said Chiron as he pointed to the attic.

"We should at least have two quests!" Protested Annabeth.

"Why?" Asked Beckendorf.

"Someone has to kick Luke's ass!" Shouted Percy.

"I'm up for some ass kicking." I said.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Annabeth protested

"What?! I want to make sure Ethan's not being-being- tortured or something into joining that stupid army!" I shouted. "And I also want to make-Luke-pay!" I yelled.

"He doesn't have to be tortured. We all know he'll join the uprising no matter what?" She taunted.

I drew my dagger and jumped across the ping pong table. "Let me at her!" I screamed.

The Stoll brothers held me back. Annabeth screamed as Percy jumped in front of her.

"Alright ladies break it up!" Shouted Beckendorf as he pulled the Stoll brothers off of me. He turned to Chiron. "Just assign two quests, they both want to get Luke."

Percy stepped in. "And I'll be there to make sure that they don't kill each other."

"I highly advise against it." Said Chiron.

"What the heck, let them go, Pamela's ready for it." Said mr. D

"Yes, we all know Pamela is your favorite camper." Said Percy.

"Watch it Perry Johnson." Snapped mr. D.

I snickered.

"I won't take no for an answer." I said.

"You don't have to say it, we all believe it." Sneered Annabeth.

I tackled her. "THAT IS SO IT, YOU BITCH!" I screamed and used the same hammerlock technique on her at Ethan had used on Luke.

I took my dagger and pinned her shirt to the floorboards.

Beckendorf pulled me off of her. He pulled at my dagger which was holding Annabeth's shirt to the floor up to the hilt. He pulled at it until it came loose. He handed me my dagger back.

Chiron turned to Annabeth. "This is hardly acting like a daughter of Athena, now you ladies need to quit your bickering!" He snapped. "You're on the same team, now act like it."

I sat down and crossed my arms.

"I'd you can refrain from battering each other, you may accept the quest." He told us.

"Sorry Pamela." She said.

"Sorry Annabeth." It felt weird not calling her "Blondie."

"Now Pamela, Annabeth, Percy, will you be the three going on this quest?" Asked Chiron.

"Yes." Annabeth answered.

"No, I'm going too." Said Tyson.

"No, you're not." Snapped Annabeth.

"It's a chance we're willing to take." Said Percy sternly.

"You should be headed to the Bermuda Triangle, the sea of monsters." He told us. "Our intel has compromised that Luke's ship The Princess Andromeda will be passing by either tonight or tomorrow night."

"We'll be ready." I said.

"This meeting is adjourned." Said Mr. D as everyone got up and went back to the cabins.

(Florida, I need to get some shorts and sandals.) I thought and headed to the camp store.

"Pamela!" Castor waved.

I walked over to him. "Hey what's up." He asked.

"I was going to head to the camp store." I told him.

"Ah, new stuff for Florida?" He asked.

"We'll, it wouldn't he a good idea to infiltrate a ship of monsters wearing a camp half blood t-shirt." I said.

"You're right, mind if I go with you?" He asked.

"Um, sure." I said.

We walked to the camp store.

I grabbed those red toms I had been looking at a week earlier, some regular t-shirts and tank tops, faded jean shorts, and a light nylon scarf.

What? a scarf can he used as a belt, or when you need a disguise, or when you need to tie someone up. It's pretty useful.

Now that I think about it, I think I'll grab two.

I paid for my stuff and walked outside the Hermes cabin.

I laid a blanket out on the grass and sat down

(I'm coming for you Luke.) I thought.

I thought about this as I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
