Although Kai insisted that she stays at his apartment, she decided to come with him to the town center. Renesmee looked at the sight with horror. The two boys, who were just a moment ago chanting, were now unconscious on the ground. She still couldn't understand why did Luke do the merge, and what kind of consequence will it leave.

Renesmee, who was leaning against the car, vamp- sped to Kai's lifeless body. Jo appeared from no where, or that's what Renesmee thought. The woman ran to Luke pushing his head on her lap begging him to wake up.

Whoever wakes up, and that would me, Kai's words ran in her head, wins. And I always win.

Renesmee sat there sobbing. She could not bare to see him like this. Jo noticed her sobs.

"How can you love him?" She yelled in confusion.

"Jo. How can you love Alaric? How can you bare Damon, Elena, Caroline? They are all murderers. Same as him. But, in the moment of death, he was the one who made me feel most alive." She spat the words as if they were poison.

Luke's eyes shot open while he fought to catch some breath. Renesmee felt her hearth sink. It was over. Kai lost. And now, the only thing that kept her waking up in the morning was dead. Love was gone. She buried her head in her lap rocking her body back and forth while holding her legs with her hands. Jo's begs for Luke to wake up echoed through her head. But she did not pay attention to those. She just wanted to die. Suddenly, she felt strong arms wrap around her tiny body.

It must be Damon, she thought. She stood up facing Kai who was grinning at her.

"I am going crazy." She murmured to herself.

"Did you seriously doubt me?" He asked pointing at Luke lifeless body. Renesmee turned around and spotted a crying Jo and Luke who had  none- beating heart.

Shock. Happiness. Love. Tears. Kai Parker.

"So what's gonna happen next now that you are the Almighty leader of the Gemini coven?" The Cullen girl asked as the two walked down the driveway. They were forced to walk due to their fortune, that being their car was destroyed in the merge.

"I am gonna give my coven an excruciating death." He said proudly like those guys who brag about winning the lottery.

"So Shakespeare." Renesmee joked.

"I think it's pretty cool." He said and she burst in fits of laughter. Kai started laughing too.

"It's not funny." Kai said between laughs.

"Then why are you laughing?!" Renesmee yelled back trying to contain herself from giggling.

"I love you."

"You what?" She asked in confusion.

"I love you." Kai repeated with more passion. She stared at him in shock.

"Nobody has never treated me like you. No one ever cared. You watched my back when I needed backup. You were there to hold my hand when I was scared. Your tears made me feel wanted. Your laughs make me happy. You are amazing, Renesmee Charlie Cullen. I love you."

She wanted to yell "I love you too." back but it came out as a whisper. She did not have the strength to say it louder. Instead, she wrapped her arms around his neck kissing him passionately.
