'Gay. Let's get that meaning straight!' I walked past the sign stuck on the wall. I rolled my eyes at the stupid poster. It had been torn and was soggy due to the terrible rain that had fallen here in London lately. I was on my way home from getting some shopping for my mum. After walking slowly in the depressing down pour, I reached my house. I opened the door with my key quickly put the shopping away and walked into the hall way and grabbed my wallet from the table sitting beside the front door.

I was dressed in my usual black top and black skinny jeans. If I wanted to make an effort to look nice I'd wear my brown suede boots but today I'm wearing my black converse. I'm on my way to the coffee shop just across the road from my house. It's better than mine but can't beat my mums. She's working late tonight. I miss her coffee. She makes it just right.

The ringing of the bell as I walked through the door dragged me from my thoughts. The smell of coffee filled my nose: sounds of cutlery clanging and the roaring of coffee machines filled my ears. The perfect atmosphere for a coffee shop. I ordered my usual black coffee with 1 sugar and sat in my usual sofa chair beside the steamed up windows. I slowly put the cup to my cold dry lips.

The warmth of the coffee wet my lips. I could feel myself warm as the liquid slid down my throat and into my body. I licked the liquid of my top lip and sighed with content.

The darkness of the winter night came early. It's about 5pm and I'm the only person in the coffee shop except the workers. I herd the bell ring for the first time in half an hour. Not bothered to look who it was I kept reading the book I picked up from the shelf and sipped on my third coffee. The chair from the table beside me scraped along the floor pulling my head in its direction. My eyes met with another icy blue pair. I examined the face of the blue eyed man quickly and went back to my book. My heart quickened. Why am I feeling like this?

I put my empty cup on the wooden table and stood up. I returned the book to the shelf. As I turned around my eyes met with the same blue pair pulling me into a trance like they had minutes ago. I quickly walked past the man and gave a shaky smile to the workers before walking out into the cold night. A shiver ran down my back. The rain started to wet my now dry curls again. After sighing I walked down the hill and crossed the roadside to my house.

The door was already opened which gave me a giddy feeling in my stomach. Either Gemma is home or my mum is. I walked in throwing my keys and wallet onto the table beside the door. "I'm home!" I shouted. "Good, what do you want for dinner?" Gemma's head popped out from the kitchen door. "Um I don't know, I got some shopping but not much," she nodded. "Pizza?" I smiled at her and she took the answer as a 'yes'.

"It isn't funny Gemma!" I said pushing her slightly. "I felt something," I said a little embarrassed. Gemma chuckled while biting into the last bit of her pizza. "Like what?" She mumbled. I let out a little sigh. His face was imprinted into my brain. His slim face, a cute nose that he probably hates but I think is perfect. "Gemma," I whispered. "Do you think I'm gay?" Things went silent. Gemma stopped chewing. All I could do was think of him. "I like him, what kind of feeling is this? I like a man. The male gender." I said frantically. "Harry, calm down, you looked at him once. From what you told me he looks quite feminine," I rolled my eyes. I'll probably never see him again!

I got of the sofa and went to my bedroom. I'm just going to sleep it off. Maybe that's all I need. A good sleep.
