Saturday evening
I was sitting on the sofa in my new apartment. It was almost six and I was waiting for Liam to come and pick me up so we could go on our date. My hands were sweating and my heart was racing. I knew that he would kiss me after the date but I had no idea if he wanted to stay the night or go home, so I was playing all the choices in my head over and over again.
There was a knock on my door and I took a deep breath. I got up from the sofa and walked to the door. I pulled it open and smiled to Liam. "Happy birthday", he said smiling and handed me a bouquet of red roses. I smiled and looked at the roses. "Thank you", I said smiling. "I'll put these in water before we go", I told him smiling and he nodded stepping inside.
We walked in the kitchen and I took out a vase for the roses. I filled it with water, put the roses in and put the vase on the counter. "This is a nice apartment", Liam said looking around and I smiled. "Thank you", I said and smiled to him. "And you look good, I didn't have the chance to tell you this earlier", he said and I chuckled. "You look good too", I said and he smiled.
"Ready to go?", he asked and I nodded. "I'll just grab my phone", I said and walked to the sofa. I shoved the phone in my pocket and nodded to Liam. We walked out of the apartment and took the lift to the lobby. We walked out of the building and Liam opened the car door for me. "Thanks", I said and got in the car. He closed the door, walked around the car and got in too. "Where are we going?", I asked putting my seat belt on and he just smiled. "It's a secret", he whispered, put his seat belt on and started the car. I chuckled and shook my head a bit.
"Is it far?", I asked and he shrugged. "I don't know", he said smirking and I chuckled. "Come on Liam", I said and he chuckled. "It's not that far", he told me and I nodded. "Okay", I said and looked out of the window. I sighed and licked my lips.
After a while Liam pulled over to a parking lot and I looked at him. "I know that you don't like crowds so we're not going to a busy restaurant", he said and I nodded biting my lower lip gently. "Don't move", he told me and got out of the car. He walked around the car and opened the door for me. I chuckled and got out of the car. "Smooth Payne", I told him and he chuckled.
