He stopped in the center of the darkened room. His low voice bounced back and forth amongst the walls creating a heart stopping echo.
"We have to stop them?" His words puzzled my confused mind. He still wouldn't explain his deep, incoherent hints. It was almost as if he were speaking to himself. But he couldn't have been that insane, could he?
"W-what are you talking about? Why won't you let me see your face? This is complete and utter nonsense." His back continued to face me as he stared out of the open window where the wind howled softly. "Look, you've never been this way before. You've always been quite strange in your younger years, I must admit, but never like this. It's like, something's possessing you. I care about you a lot, and I always have. So if you truly care about me, then answer me this; what's happening? Why has the earth gone cold? Why is everybody growing so hopeless and scared? What is causing you be so mysterious?"
My voice crescendoed louder and louder along with the whistle of the wind. But as I finished my last question, all went silent.
"There's an army coming." His statement was brief, and quiet haunted the room once again.
"O-of what?" He sighed as if hesitant to speak the truth. But I wanted to know. And my curiosity only escalated. "Show yourself."
His eyes dropped to the ground.
"You really want to be involved in this, don't you?" I nodded frantically although I knew that he wouldn't see it.
He urgently spun around to face my direction. I peered into the hood that veiled his head, but nothing was remotely visible. A massive, black cloak shielded his entire body. He was hiding himself from me. And still, I didn't understand why.
"I hadn't planned on telling you, nor had I thought that you would care so much about me. But if I do tell you, I need you to know something. If I tell you; if I show you, you will never be able to escape the danger. I will be forced to protect you until the end of your time. You won't be safe until I've saved everyone. Do you truly understand how serious this is?"
"Of course I do. And I don't care. I want to know; even if it means to lose my sense of peace and happiness. I mean, I lost my happiness a long time ago when you left me all alone." I glanced down in sad remembrance.
"Alright then. I will reveal myself to you, with very strong precautions. Take a gander."
He lifted his hood slowly off from his head and suddenly, the room was lit with light that spilled from within his dim cape. Shards of light pierced through every inch on my sensitive eyes causing me to flinch back in disturbance. Then the blinding image of him began to clear. His appearance was finally visible, and I couldn't take my pupils off of him. He was majestic. Different than any human being I'd ever looked at before.
He was so beautiful.
"Dana," he spoke with a soothing tone. "You and I will never be the same again. I have transformed into my true form." His beauty struck me harder than I'd expected, and I stood back in complete awe. "And so have you."
"W-what are you? A-and, who are you?" He dropped his black clothing to the floor allowing even more light to disperse out into the atmosphere. I raised my elbow against my forehead to shield myself from the shine, but my eyes were literally glued to his new body.
"Those are very excellent questions." His light green, yellow-ish irises met with my dull brown ones and sparkled brightly. His new English accent was softer than before, creating a lovely combination that swayed my thoughts.
"But the answers to them, we may never know."

Thank for reading my newest idea. Please share it, vote, and comment if you'd like for me to continue on. Greatly appreciated. I might add a cover and add some more if people enjoy the starter plot, but otherwise I'll remove it. I've been indecisive on whether or not to post this.
So here goes nothing.
