My breathing got heavier. My arms got shaky. I could feel the cold sweat run down my back as I sat down in my seat. We did it. We officially snuck into a movie theater. All this because we love the purge.
It was a bright sunny day when we had gonna to the theater. Me and 4 friends couldn't wait to see "The Purge Election Year", so
What if the oldest one of us is 15 we're mature enough to see a rated R movie. Ee strolled up to the ticket booth, Kat (friend number 1)'s dad had bought her and him a movie ticket. When the lady saw the rest of us she said "They must have adult supervision." Our dad had told her "They're with me in their dad." She just shook her head and told us no. He gave her the two tickets back and we went to the car.Pouting, we left to 5 Guys to try and think of something else. Gabby (friend number 2) shoved a burger down her throat and made me think of Alfred F Jones. Aka my hero. Then it hit me, "What would the hero do?" I mumbled to myself. Macey (friend number 3) looked at me confused. While Alexia (friend number 4) and Kat shared glances. Suddenly, Gabby replied, "Sneak into the movie duh." I choked on my fries at the comment. Sneak into a rated R movie??! "What if the cops are called? What if we get kicked out?" What if was all I could think. We asked our dad and he simply said "Idc what y'all do but I'm seeing that movie." So the 5 of us looked at each other, we didn't even have to say a word, we were all thinking the same thing. Let's do it.
We came back to the theater and bough tickets to the Comedy "Central Intelligence" and waited for the right moment to go into The Purge. But there was one problem. The Purge was right behind where the man who takes your ticket booth was. Too scared to go we all stood in the hallway. Until Kat and her dad calmly walked into the room. The four of us looked at each other, "Act natural and stay calm." Macey and Gabby left together as naturally as they could with Alexia not far behind them. People much older walked past me going into the Purge. I took a deep breath and snuck into the crowd of people. Once into the showing I ran up to my friends hands shakier than ever. Slowly a smile creeped onto my face, as did theirs. We all laughed and hollered with joy. We got in without anyone seeing us. Mission complete.
Or so we though.
Once the showing was over now was the hard part. Getting out without anyone who works there seeing you. We left with a big crowd and fitted in by talking about how awesome that movie was. Once outside the doors of the theater I skipped to the car smiling bigger than anyone. "SAVAGE NOT AVERAGE!" We chanted all the way back home. Aka an hour and 45 minute car ride.
Oh and we never got caught and it's been almost a year.
:') savage not average
