I groaned and shifted on the bed, burying my face further into the pillow. ‘Ryan?’ a voice gently called in my head. “Two more minutes please,” I mumbled sleepily. ‘Ryan, angel...’ the voice spoke again, a shiver ran down my spine at the words and then I shot up and jumped right off the bed staring wide-eyed at Erik. The voice in my head sounded just like Erik, exactly like Erik.
“Uh, who...am I dead...” I didn't even know what I wanted or tried to say. I was stunned senseless. Was I imagining everything? Am I finally losing my sanity?
‘Ray, angel... speak to me,’ the voice asked in the most angelic voice, it was like music to my ears. I missed that voice. Was it really him, I looked over at his motionless body, he wasn’t awake and everything seemed normal as normal as a coma was.
‘Erik is that really you?’ I asked, silent tears slowly running down my cheeks, a small smile playing at my lips as hope rose in my heart making it beat unnaturally and swell unbelievably. Please say yes, I begged and pleaded.
‘It’s really me,’ I could hear the smile in his voice. ‘I miss you,’ he whispered softly causing a shiver to run down my spine again. His words triggered the waterfall and I was suddenly crying unable to stop.
‘I miss you too. Please come back to me,’ I sobbed climbing back onto the bed, sitting on my knees and stared at Erik, begging him to open his eyes and wake up.
He chuckled which sounded forced, ‘You don’t know how great it is to hear your voice,’ he said with a sigh. A smile pulled at my lips but the tears wouldn’t stop, they just kept flowing like they would never end. ‘So how was it to be a wolf?’ he asked curious, I knew he was avoiding the subject about him waking up.
I pulled a face at that, ‘It was okay,’ I replied, thinking about the pain and then how I couldn’t change back or even talk to anyone. ‘Why can I talk to you but...but you're not awake?’ I asked.
‘I don’t know, I just woke or well uh, I don’t know how to explain it but I was suddenly back in my own body and I could feel your mind in mine.’ He explained.
‘Oh, but when are you going to wake up? I need you to wake up,’ I pleaded crying again.
‘I’ll wake up soon, I promise,’ he whispered softly. I shook my head not believing him. ‘I promise Ray, I’ll wake up soon, just give it time.’ I still kept shaking my head, he was still not telling the truth or well not the entire truth.
There was silence for a while, while I tried to stop the water works. ‘Erik?’ I asked panicked, afraid that he left me.
‘I'm still here,’ he said softly. I laid back down next to him and closed my eyes. I was suddenly tired and overwhelmed and couldn’t stay awake. ‘Stay with me,’ I pleaded as I fell asleep.

“Erik,” I mumbled sleepily, burying my face in the pillow. “I love you.” I wasn’t fully awake; I was still off in my own dreams. I dreamed that Erik was awake, and that he said he loved me, and I wanted to be back in that dream. I had to be back in that dream.
I door creaked open and footsteps neared me. “NO!” I yelled as they picked me up and carried me away from Erik. “Don’t! I need to stay with him, don’t take me!” I slammed my fist tiredly into the person’s chest, I didn't even have enough energy to hit him more than five times, I had no energy left in my body, even after eating some food.
