Night had fallen at Skyhold, and Solas was sitting at his desk in his study. He was flipping through an old book about the Hero of Ferelden and how she fell in love with a crow assassin. Their love was hot, and fiery often full of sexual tension as he read the book, he had an image in his head. That image was of Kai'da, the Inquisitor the abruptness of the image caused him to slam the book closed. He then drew the back of his hand to his plump lips, he was completely frustrated with himself. He cursed in an ancient elven tongue and stood up abruptly from his chair, he paced around his study immersed in his thoughts. Why would she pop into his head when, he knows that Cullen fancies her? She seems to fancy him as well so why would she appear in his head? Then he heard Cole's voice wring in his pointed ear "Skin like golden honey, hair like the earth as it rains, wound around fingers as she comes undone. Eyes green like the emerald graves. Fascinated as she submits." Solas whipped around and saw Cole standing near the entrance. Cole tilted his head and Solas let out a forced cough.
"Cole, if you would excuse me" Cole looked at Solas and nodded. Solas headed upstairs to the library to find another book to get her off of his mind. Solas was often awake late at night, he liked the silence the night brought. He was looking through the creature section when he saw Kai'da sitting on a table in the middle of the section. He was startled at first for he was not expecting anyone to be up, let alone in the library but, then he spoke.
"Lethallen, should you not be asleep at this time?" Her hair was out of its usual up do and it was longer than Solas had assumed. His breath hitched as she looked up at him, the moonlight radiating on her honey colored skin.
"Shouldn't you be asleep and in the fade at this point chuckles?" She often used that word to bother him because she knew that it bothered him when Varric called him that. He rolled his eyes.
"You forget you are just as awake as I am." Solas could not keep his eyes off of her, she was so beautiful, and dangerous. He reminded himself of that though, that he could not get attached to her. She placed the book on her lap down behind her on the table and unfolded her legs from her cross legged position she was sitting in.
"I guess we both cannot sleep these days then" She ushered him towards her and so his body moved on its own. He was now standing in front of her but not too close only close enough to reach out and graze her knee ever so slightly. "What can I do for you Solas?" His named rolled off her tongue like velvet, he gulped hard as he fought the urge to stroke her knee. He crossed his arms instead trying to fight the urge to take her on the desk. What was he? Some barbaric version of his old self? He shifted a bit, clenching his fists around his elbows.
"I had no idea that I would not be alone up here, so I am not sure as to what I want" but he knew what he wanted. His eye flicked down to her lips and trailed lower taking in her form, he knew he couldn't have her. He should not want her this badly.
"Ah, but the look in your eyes tells another story" she leaned her hands back on the table which made her posture more open, more accessible. Solas could not help but rake his eyes over her form. She gave as coy smile as she noticed him looking, he felt foolish, like some hot-blooded youth who just realized what a female was. Fenedhis.
"Lethallen, I am sure you are mistaken, you are tired and need to rest" Solas tried to convince her that she was misled but he knew it was too late. She had won this round. She undid the top button of her collar and Solas could feel a forgotten feeling stir. Hunger. He wanted her.
"You are right, I am tired" she undid another button and Solas saw her collar bone now. "I am capable of closing the breach" another button. "I can stop the civil war" another button and Solas clenched his fists trying to keep control of himself, he licked his lips ever so slightly "And I can even kill a fucking dragon" she unfastens the button just before her naval and Solas can clearly see the swell of her breasts under her chest bindings. He moves himself, unwillingly closer to her so that her knees are touching his thighs, but just barely. "But, the one thing I cannot do is get you to pick up on all the signs I have been throwing at you." She looks up at him, with her shirt undone and flashes that smile again. She was wrong, Solas had picked up on the signs but he pretended to ignore them. It would only lead to trouble.
