"By the way," Ashlie started. "I asked Nick out for lunch."
"What? When?!" I was shocked, heartbroken...confused.
"When you turned away." She knew I couldn't watch. "I simply asked Nick, 'Hey, Nick, will you join me for lunch?' And, he said, 'sure!' So I got a lunch date. What did you get?"
I gotta about a lunch date, too. It comes with the friend zone, with a side of heartbroken. And, it only costed my love for everything. "Uh...tata, Ash-Ketchum. Gotta go unpack the rest of I my dignity I left in my office."
Ashlie's POV:
Tom walks in the opposite direction with his hands in his black hoodie pockets, the hood was up, but lowered due to his head position. "Okay, Tom." I was concerned for him, and also happy that I "won" Nick's heart.
You'd better get ready for that date. "You're right, conscience! I can't wait!" I sing-songed at my conscience, with joy, like a Disney character. "I hope I brought some good clothes for once."
I take a step into my red walled room, take a deep breath. I raise my shoulders as I breathe in through my, and lower them as I breathe out. Peace, and quiet.
"Take your time Ashlie," I remind myself as I sit down in my revolving chair. "Just relax, just breathe."
Tommy's POV:
I run to my small office, I lean against the door, letting it make a SLAMMING sound. My body slides down the wood, my hands on my head, swooping back my hair. Anger. Sadness. Jealousy. Confusion. "What did I do wrong?" You idiot! You let him get away, don't you understand?! "Okay. Okay.. okay!" Walking over to my desk, I pause; hesitated anger rises in me. "No. I won't let this happen." With one quick angry swipe, I slide everything off my desk. Glass breaks on the wall. SMASH! Metal falls to the wood based ground. CLINK! Paper flies around the round in a chaotic whirlwind. WHOOSH! "I'm having a mental break down" I whisper to myself, hoping someone would hear. My gaze moves by itself to a something lying in the rubble I've created.
