A forked tongue flicked out of Agent Croatian's mouth. Agent Eddy had always imagined it must be strange being able to shape shift to animal. Those with enough prowess in their respective blood oath were often able even make minor alterations to their natural human forms without having to completely change. Eddy made sure not to stand in front of the heat seeking pits that took the place of his nose.

"He's here for sure, the air is still heated. These aren't normal temperature for a late bloomer. Are you sure he comes from an ashen family?" Agent Crotalin asked scoping out the warehouse entrance.

"I only know what the parents told me man. I know they weren't exuberant but sometimes these things happen spontaneously." Agent Eddy shrugged drawing his weapon as they approached. "Now I don't know if that spontaneity is on the boys part or the mothers..." He said letting Crotalin take point.

"This place hasn't been in use since the Rupture has it?" Crotalin asked noting the trash littering the area as we followed the heat trail.

"I'm not sure, I think the state was looking at rebuilding in this area of town." Eddy responded shining his flashlight around the room

"That's too bad. Looks like a lot of people call this place home. Should we call back up?" Crotalin asked sensing several human heat signatures.

"No, they won't interfere, their just looking for somewhere to sleep. If they are running from the law they won't come out of hiding to attack us. We are just looking for the boy and we'll be on our way." He spoke louder hoping the people calling this place home would stay out of the way.

Crotalin held his fist in the air signaling to stop. He pointed towards a maintenance closet hugging the side of the large room. They approached the closet cautiously. Eddy looked around one last time before holstering his weapon. He could feel the warmth as the got closer. Crotalin hissed lowly warning Eddy. Eddy retracted his hand feeling the intense heat emanating from the door knob.

"C.J" Eddy called out to the door. "We're here to help. I'm Agent Eddie and my partner is Agent Crotalin. We work for the Agency and we're here to take you back to your parents."

Crotalin kept his senses trained on the small room. He could see the temperature rising. "He's heating up, talk him down or we and everyone in here will be dealing with a completely different problem."

Eddy nodded stepping as close to room as he could stand. "Listen, C.J we want to help you. We really do. But we can only do that if you let us. You've had a few accidents these last few days but no one has been hurt. Please come out and let us help you." He talked loudly with an even tone trying not to sound like a bad guy.

"I'm not coming out. I can't go home. My parents are pro-ashen. I can't go home like this, not after burning our house down. There's nothing to go back too." A young boy's voice yelled back from the room.

Eddy didn't need hear Crotalin's hissing to know the temperature was going up still. "That's not true C.J. Your parents have been turning the city upside down to find you. Not only are they looking for you but our agency is also interested in your abilities. The fact that you're a spontaneous exuberant is rare, but as a late bloomer as your temperature range is phenomenal. Come out so we can talk alright?"

The door crept open as a young boy emerged from the room. "I didn't mean to. I just woke up and the room was on fire, I was on fire." He pleaded with Agents who were stepping away from him.
