So when ever I debate cats versus dogs with random people, the question I can never answer quite correctly is this: What is the practical use of cats?
But, I just read a book that gave me the exact answer. It goes something like this:
-Dogs Help police officers and other good-doers, Saving a fraction of the human population. Other than that, dogs are just human companions.
-There is more than 50 million CATS in the U.S. This makes them the largest mammal population, besides rodents, whose numbers are beyond estimate.
- If we eliminate dogs, a small fraction of the future human population would be eliminated.
- BUT, if we eliminate CATS, the entire country would be overrun with rodents, and therefore disease within WEEKS.
Can I get some applause?
