My sore feet trudge along the worn out gravel road. The scent of lemony pine and the damp grass reminded me of home. Suddenly, my vision was blurred by the wind kicking up dust in front of me and my caramel blonde hair covering my eyes for a second. I mentally groaned before halting. Someone was nearby and they weren't exactly friendly. My inner dragon began to shiver in fear, knowing that I wasn't strong enough to battle, when my gaze caught sight of a cat in a frog suit.

"What in the ocean?" I spoke, not liking to curse without a reason, and I took a soft step forward. The cat noticed my existence when it ran over to me with crystal tears falling down its' face.

"Please help Fro! Fro lost her partner Rogue and now-!" Fro hiccuped and I sighed before kneeling to the ground.

"My name's Angelo. Can you tell me what Rogue looks like?" Fro nodded and was about to describe Rogue for me when my stomach growled like a tiger. Fro sniffed before a little laugh erupted from her. I grinned and stood up with determination shining in my Jade-shaded eyes.

"I promise you Fro, I shall find Rogue!" I smiled before speaking a bit softer. "After I eat," Fro laughed a little and I smiled nicely. Been awhile since I smiled like this.

Entering the local town, my stomach roared and pink dust covered my cheeks as Fro giggled. Wanting to end my embarrassment and hunger, I entered the closest diner only to smell 2 other dragon slayers. Not nice ones by the smell of them. Fro wiggled in my arms when I whispered.

"Is the male with black hair next to the red cat and blonde your partner?" I questioned. Fro nodded and I sighed.

"Alright," letting go of her, Fro tackled Rogue as the trio stared at Fro in shock. I sighed before walking towards the door when I heard Fro shout out.

"Fro needs to thank Angelo-san!" I paused in my stride when the cat tackled me into a hug.

"Don't worry about it Fro. I just didn't want someone to lose someone important to them," Fro smiled, even though I cut her off, when the scents of the dragon slayers grew closer. My body began to tremble when I placed Fro on the ground and gave her head a pat.

"My teammate might be looking for me. See you Fro and don't get lost again. I don't think your partner likes it," and just like a river flow, I disappeared out of the diner and near the outskirts of the town. A deep sigh left my lips and my knees met solid ground. Maybe I should've gotten a glass of water or some pretzels. Forcing my body to get up, I took another step only to fall forward.

"Angelo-san!" Fro's voice sounded and my fall was stopped by someone's warm embrace. It was one of the dragon slayers from earlier. He helped me into a sitting position when I opened my eyes. When did I close them? I shook my head when I heard the male in front of me sigh.

"My name's Sting and the other guy behind you is Rogue. What's your name, Angelo-san?" Sting teased at the end of his sentence. I mentally groaned when a pounding headache began. A whimper left my lips without consent and in a flash, someone was rubbing my back and another was opening a bottle of ice water.

"Here you go Angelo-san," a higher voice, higher than Fro or Sting, spoke to me. I gave him a thank you smile before carefully taking a few sips of the liquid. Removing it from my lips, I sighed and finally looked at everyone and not the gavel pathway. Sting was the blonde and had one earring in. The red cat was in front of me and held a concerned glint in his eyes, Fro had tears in her eyes. So Rogue must be behind me. My body relaxed as the water entered my system when Sting spoke.

"Thank you for returning Fro to us. My partner was about to go crazy!" I smiled and replied.

"No big deal. I hate seeing someone in pain of losing someone," Sting nodded when he sniffed a bit closer to me. His eyes widened in realization but as already on my feet, with the water bottle, and was running like my life depended on it. Which it did.

"Rogue! Sting!" I heard Fro shout when two bodies rammed into me and I slammed into the ground.

"Shit!" I cursed when one of them straddled me, on my back, and the other looked me in the face.

"A dragon slayer huh?" I glared at Sting, who had a cocky grin and I growled.

"Let me go," he hummed in thought when I noticed his guild mark. Fear and panic entered my system, causing Rogue to move a bit.

"Sabertooth," Sting glanced at me, confused, when Rogue spoke in a low tone above me.

          "Fairy Tail."

The air was heavy with tension when Sting began to laugh. Anger mixed in with the fear and panic but I stayed still. Rogue and the cats stayed silent when sting calmed down and smashed my face into the dirt.

"Stupid dragon slayer. Did you think you could run?" I stayed silent when Fro intervened.

"Please stop Sting-kun! Angelo-san hasn't done anything wrong to us!" I heard Rogue hum in agreement when Sting nodded.

"Alright but just to make sure this dragon knows his place," Sting spoke, in a tone that foretold much pain, my inner dragon began to grow scared. What if I die before I reach the guild? Who would watch Romeo? Who would help pay bills? Who would welcome back Levy and Mirajane? As those thoughts ran through my mind, my magic began to response. I closed my eyes as Sting raised his fist to punch me when I whispered.

"Water Dragon Roar!" water blasted Sting into a tree and Rogue jumped off my back and got ready to fight. The red cat went to Sting's side when Fro stood in front of Rogue.

"Fro thinks Angelo-san has to get home. His family might miss him," Rogue barely contained himself but didn't make any move to harm me.

"Die Fairy Fly!" Sting shouted but I dodged it, in time. He growled when Rogue spoke.

"Stop Sting. Angelo-san can barely even stand after his roar. Also, we can't be late to the guild or else we'll have to face Master's rage," Sting growled and I flinched. Probably a little more than he expected too because he only raised an eyebrow when Fro walked up to me.

"Bye Angelo-san," I only gave a weak smile in return as the Twin Dragon Slayers left me. When I thought they were out of hearing range, I fell to my knees as the silent tears fell. Why did other dragon slayers have to remind me of him?!?
