ummm, sup. the beginning is a little slow but it gets better. this is not really a cliche story. it has enough cliche to make it good, but its not crazy cliche. happy reading!
Chapter 1-
"SAMANTHA! GET YOUR TINY BLONDE ASS BACK HERE!"
Samantha, not listening as usual, ran past me instead and into her tree house, zooming up the staircase and into the finely furnished wooden box. I ran after her, my feet barely hitting each step. When i reached the doorway, the door was slammed in my face throwing me backward. My head knocked back onto the pine-needle covered ground.
"Sam," i groaned, rolling around dramatically. "What the hell?"
Giggling, she strode out into the sunlight, until she was bent over in front of me, hair dangling in my face.
"Boo," she whispered then ran off again. I rolled my eyes.
"Owie?" I sat up brushing the dirt and leaves out of my long brown hair. A bird flew by me, landing on a nearby branch to watch me curiously, tilting its head this way and that.
Suspiciously, i looked around at my surroundings. A big tree with a treehouse the size of Manhatten, complete with green carpet and pink cushiony chairs. A bunch of medium sized trees, creating a forest only a genius could navigate. And that bird, with its feathery wings and red-brown eyes.
I stood up and looked around.
"The time has come. She needs to know...." the words whisperd through the trees, rustling the fine leaves. I shivered until....SLAM!
I groaned back on the ground again. Sam had ran up to me, pushing me down. She was now laughing histerically on the ground, holding her sides and everything. Sam has been my BFF since birth. Our mothers were friends and we were even born in the same week, which was 15 years ago. Being total opposites it was funny how we got along so well. She was the crazy one with long, surfer-curly blonde hair and an "ironicly worn" fedora, while i was the calm, overthinker, who at the most wore my brothers old baseball cap with my long brown hair in a ponytail. But we did have the same blue eyes, except for mine were a little greener, so i guess not EXACTLY the same.
"Jeez, you couldnt wait another minute could you?" i groaned. I glanced towards where the bird had been. It was gone.
"Shut up, Lissa," she giggled then stood up. I stood up too, grabbing onto her shoulder for support.
"If were still goin to that party, i dont want to be all bruised up," i said laughing. She rolled her eyes.
"I heard that Gabriel thinks its sexy when a girl is a badass. You could say that you got in a fight with a biker dude," Sam suggested. I shook my head.
"But im not a badass."
Sam's eyes gleamed with trickery. Oh no. Sometimes, Sam will just get these ideas that are completely crazy and insane. Well, she gets these ideas all the time. I think the one time we actually went along with her idea, i ended up getting stuck on her hot neighbor's roof wearing a mini skirt and holding onto a snowboard for dear life. You can see how well that went. They had to call the fire department and the only firefighter on "duty" was a 60 year old tough guy, with a cigarette in his mouth. And just like the cartoons, he got the firehose ready and blasted himself backwards. He also managed to get me drenched in water when there was no fire. We just needed the ladder thing.
"Sam," i pleaded. "Dont make me go along with your scary ideas."
She winked at me, then spun on her heel towards her treehouse. "If you want Gabriel, you'll do what i saay," she sing-songed. I groaned and followed her.
Gabriel was the hot guy that went to our school. Chiseled jaw, abbs, jock, messy black hair and bright green eyes. Sometimes he wore a lip ring, but no one seemed to mind how much of a badass he was. And i really like him.
When i got inside, she was sitting on the floor, legs crossed, arms crossed, fingers and toes crossed and her eyes crossed. A little like that Des kid from Austin and Ally.
"Sam? Seriously, stop it," i demanded crossing my arms.
She fell back, uncrossing everything and taking in a big breath.
"Hey, im doing this for your sake. Now cross with me!"
I didnt move.
"Lissa! you do want Gabriel dont you? if you want to date him, you have to do what i say."
"Dude, i dont even know how to cross my eyes. Now just tell me your plan and i might go with it."
She sat up and patted a spot of carpet next to her.I sat next to her and leaned my head on my knees.
"Okay!" Sam suddenly got this look of excitement on her face, wide smile, wide eyes and a lot of talking with her hands.
"So first, you're going to have a personality switch!"
I stared at her.
"what?"
"C'mon! Youre an actor arent you?"
"Actress," i corrected her.
"Whatever. Anyways, you could pretend to be a badass. You're already a tomboy, why dont you become a badass!"
I squinted my eyes at her. "Are you insane? What makes you think he will pay attention to me if im wearing a leather jacket and a nose ring? I dont even like wearing those things!"
"Really Lissa. This is getting old. Stop pretending you dont know youre pretty."
I shifted uncomfortably. "If im so pretty, then why hasnt anyone asked me out before except for that loser kid Patrick." Patrick was the nerd of the school. He always carried a walkey talkey around and wore shirts that said stuff like "i am a jedi. just like my father before me" or "Nerdy? i prefer the term intellectual badass." And on top of all that, he had a serious lisp that made him spit when he talked.
"Youre a walking cliche, that's why. You were an ugly little loser when you were little and then the worm changed into a butterfly! But by the time you became pretty, it was too late! You were already deemed a loser." I scrunched up my nose. "Maybe if you wore normal clothes instead of a too big t-shirt or jeans, you would be normal."
"Sam, after the roof incident, i am never wearing a mini skirt again."
She laughed at me. "I could have you wearing a mini skirt everyday if i wanted you too. But then, my boyfriend would dump me for your gorgeous legs."
"Shut up," i muttered. She laughed.
"Cmon sister," Sam stood up. "We're going shopping."
