It was near the end of summer and I had absolutely no plans. So, basically, it was my perfect summer vacation. I was just lounging peacefully in a chair beside my pool when suddenly a huge splash came from in front of me, completely soaking me. "Kellin! I'm gonna kill you!" I yelled. "But I'm too pretty to die Lexi!" Kellin laughed, diving back under the water. Sometimes I wondered why I was even friends with him. I wiped some of the damp hair off of my face and prepared to dive into the pool after him. "You're gonna pay Kels." I smirked, jumping into the pool. I swam after him as he was running away (he's not a fast runner anyway and in a pool it was like he was a snail) and latched onto him. He flailed his arms around like I was trying to kill him or something. "Honestly, it's hard to believe that you're in a band Kellin. People think you're so mature but if they really knew you...they would probably think you're crazy." I laughed. "Well gee thanks Lex. I'm so glad we're friends." Kellin huffed, breaking out of my grip and climbing out of the pool. "IM GETTING FOOD!" Kellin announced. "BRING ME A HAMBURGER LOSER!" I yelled, laughing uncontrollably. "SURE THING IDIOT!" Kellin yelled back, skipping (yes, skipping, like a little girl) into my house. Minutes later he came out with a bag of chips and a hamburger. "Your burger of ham m'lady." Kellin said, trying to sound posh. "You're such a dork Kels. And it's not ham, by the way." I chuckled, taking the burger out of his hand. "That just ruined my entire life!" Kellin sighed dramatically, clutching his chest as he stepped backward and fell into the pool. "You ok there Kels?" I asked. "Just fine Lex." He smiled back, hopping back out of the pool. I began to laugh uncontrollably and I had no idea why. The laughing stopped when Kellin suddenly tackled me and we both fell into the pool. "Why I am even friends with you?" I sighed, punching him, lightly, on the arm.

*Flashback*

"Uhh...hi. This seat taken?" I looked up to find a boy with deep black hair and piercing blue eyes. "Yeah. Sure." I answered, moving my books over slightly. He sat down and began to eat his lunch. "I'm Alexandria by the way. Everyone just calls me Lexi or Lex though." I said. "I'm Kellin." He said back. "I'm gonna call you Kels. That ok?" I smiled, looking straight at him. "Sure thing Lex." He smiled back.

*End of flashback*

Kellin was the only person who had ever spoken to me when I started Middle School. Everyone else stayed away from me because they thought I was creepy or something. But Kellin wasn't scared and I think him just walking up to me was really the start of our friendship. "Thanks for everything Kels." I smiled, wrapping my arms around him in a tight hug, even though we were still in the pool. "No problem Lex." He smiled back. I got out of the pool and dried myself off. Kellin however kept on splashing around in the pool like a 5-year-old. "I'll be right back Kels! Just gonna change!" I yelled running off to my room. "Ok idiot!" Kellin yelled back. He was such a dork. That was definitely one of the reasons that we got along so well...we were both dorks. I took off my bikini and changed into a tank-top and some capris. I put my hair into a ponytail and was about to go downstairs and back outside when something caught my eye. It was a picture of me and my boyfriend, well exboyfriend now anyway, Vic Fuentes. We had dated for about two years in Middle School. One day he broke it off randomly though and I hated him with everything I had since then. He gave me a necklace with a silver feather pendant that I wore every day, and still do...I just can't seem to take it off.
