Graduation day (First day of tour)
I looked down at my dress one last time before slipping on my gown.
"You look good, honey." I heard a male voice behind me and I turned around to see my parents and younger siblings standing in the doorway of my dorm room.
I smiled at my dad who had just complimented me. "Thanks."
Mary wrapped her arms around my back and I hugged back. "I can't believe you're graduating."
I chuckled. "Me either." I pulled back and hugged my little brother. "How've you been doing?"
He pushed me off. "Good."
"Mom, how's the baby doing?" I hugged my mom, noticing her belly was getting a little bigger.
"Good. The pregnancy is going pretty well. I'm going to miss you being home and you're going to miss finding out the gender of your sibling."
I pulled back. "I think I'll live."
Mary looked around my dorm room. "Your room is so empty, Mo."
"Yeah. Well, I am moving out. Everything has either been packed into Kaitlyn's parents' car or set on our beds to take on tour."
"So, you're really going?" Marcus frowned.
"Of course, buddy. You've known this for a while."
"Yeah, but I never thought you'd actually go." I could see him start to tear up.
"I'll be back at some point. They have breaks and Josh and Ashley's wedding is in July. I'm not moving away completely."
"I don't want you to go." For the first time in a few months, Marcus actually hugged me.
"I already agreed to go. Plus, I want to be with my boyfriend."
"What about your family? Don't you want to be with us?"
"Of course, but this is an opportunity I can't pass up. I love you, bud, and I'm not going to disconnect completely."
"You'll be in another country."
"So what? I'm still your big sister and you have Mom and Dad and Mary and our new little sibling. You won't be alone."
"But you won't be here."
"I know. You'll be fine without me. You've been doing pretty good these past four years. Just keep going until I'm back, okay?"
He nodded and pulled back, tears starting to stream down his face.
"Am I interrupting something?" I heard a deep Irish voice outside my room.
"Oh, my God." It was my turn to cry. "Niall?"
Niall's face appeared. "Hey, Molly."
I ran to him, struggling in my heels, as my family moved out of the way. He picked me up. "Hi."
"I can't believe you're here. I thought you guys were going to meet us when we landed."
He set me down and leaned his forehead on mine, looking into my eyes. "I wanted to surprise you." He pressed his lips lightly against mine. "You didn't think I'd miss your graduation, did you?"
"I thought you had a concert."
"We have a day off. I just had to see you."
I kissed him harsher this time, still not believing he was actually here. "I love you so much."
"I love you too."
"We'll leave you two alone," my mom announced as everyone, but my sister started to leave. My mom rolled her eyes as she pulled Mary out.
