Hey folks just put up another chapter, it's been a while so I thought it was about time to write the next chapter in Nikki's crazy life.

Chapter 51

I woke up feeling really stressed this morning.  I went and got on the treadmill and walked for about thirty minutes to get myself and the baby some exercise maybe that will cut down on some of the stress I’m feeling.

I finished on the treadmill and felt somewhat better; I went in the kitchen and fixed me something to eat.  I took out all of the fruit I had, an apple, grapes, watermelon, kiwi, mango and pineapples.  I started cutting up my fruit into a bowl and I put a piece of toast in the toaster. 

I popped a pineapple in my mouth and I could feel the baby wiggling around, I guess he or she likes the taste of pineapples.  I love pineapples myself so it’s a good thing they do too.

I looked at the clock and saw it was almost 7:00.  I finished my breakfast headed upstairs took a shower and got dressed for work.  I would only be there until about noon because I had an appointment at 1:00.  I finished got dressed, I grabbed my purse and headed out the door.

Once I got to work, I went into my office and worked on the new schedule and replied to some emails before I left and went down to the ER.  I was kinda worried because no one knew I was pregnant and now with my little baby bump everyone would know.I got on the elevator and went down to the first floor.  I entered the ER from the backside so I put in the code to open the door.  I walked in and greeted everyone and started looking at charts to make sure everything was going smoothly. 

"Good morning Doc.”

“Good morning Nikki, how are you doing?  I see you’re starting to poke out a bit.”

“Yeah, I have an appointment this afternoon, can’t wait to see my baby.  I have the ultrasound today.”

“That’s great, maybe I can sneak out and come with you so I can see the ultrasound if you don’t mind.”

“No, I don’t mind that would be nice.”

I stood there rubbing my stomach still talking to Dr. Taricone when I saw Delaura standing there looking at me.  I stopped rubbing my stomach and told Vincent my appointment is at 1:00.  

I was laughing with Dr. Taricone we were laughing and talking before I went to check with the other nurses in the department.  I was still having the pain in my back and wanted to make sure to bring that to Dr. Daniels attention.  Once I was finished checking the department I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.  I took it and looked at the screen it was Kevin, what is it that he wants now.

Nikki, you said your appointment is at 1:00 right?

Yup that’s right, why did something come up?

Ugh yeah don’t worry I am going to try and reschedule the appointment so I can get there.

Mhmm, ok well I don’t know why I am surprised that something you have an appointment at the time you should be with me seeing our baby for the first time.  It’s cool though, if you can make it fine, it not I will let you see the ultrasound photo that they give me.

Nikki seriously I am really sorry, I told Jessica to make sure there was nothing scheduled for the afternoon for today.  Probably need to fire her ass too cause this is not cool.

Well she probably didn’t want you to come to the appointment and if you have an appointment then she is sure you’re still there.  I don’t care about her or what’s going on in your office.  If you make it to the appointment then I will see you then.  I gotta get back to work; I’ll talk to you later.
