Christianity, Gnosticism, Islam, Judaism, and Buddhism.
All a religion, all different beliefs.
Personally, I don't see the reason for being apart of a religion. I mean, for all we know everything that we thought could be wrong. I think it's a waist of time. Like, why spend your time practicing a religion when you could be doing something else that actually makes a difference. It's not like I'm anti religion, I just don't see the point. Humanity has so many theories and so much proof for each belief. I don't think we'll know the truth till we die, maybe not even then. I'm the type of girl who parties, do what I can, don't do what I can't. I go with whatever happens.
"Sadie? Are you hungry?" That's my mom. We're moving to the mountains. Mom thinks it would bring more adventure into my life.
"No... thanks though" I respond. I guess I'm pretty careless. Every car ride I've been on, all I do is stare out the window listening to music. I listen to rock or alternative and sometimes pop. It's pretty grey today. Rainy and cold.
I start focusing on my reflection on the window seeing my short black hair. Half of my hair is like a pixie cut, but in the back it goes down past my chin on my right. Sometimes I forget how pale I am. So pasty. My eyes have dark circles around them, which is my eyeliner and mascara. All the black gothic clothes I wear brings out my bright green eyes which slightly clashes with my dark red lipstick. I can't remember when I started to dress like this, but I think it was around the time when my older brother died. I was about 13 at the time, that was 4 years ago. Me and my brother were close. Anytime I needed back up at my school, he was there to defend me. I miss him. I guess that's why mom wanted to move. To many painful memories back home.
"Sadie Belmor, are you listening?" I take a glance at my mom, then back out the window.
"I was just saying that the school you're going to is pretty big, there's lots of other kids there." I don't really think about school much anymore. School always has this dark atmosphere now and days.
"I know school doesn't start for another 3 weeks, but can you promise me that you'll try to make friends?" I wasn't interested in making new friends, but my mom has been through just as much as me. maybe even more.
"Yeah sure..."
Lightening flashed which surprised me for a moment. The bright bolts were beautiful. I never seen lightening like this before. They flashed in red. This was making me feel a little more excited about this trip, it's been a long time since I've seen something new. It's refreshing. Sadly this feeling could only last for so long. But for now, I'll enjoy it while I have it.
"I hope a fire doesn't start" said my mom. I roll my eyes at her as I keeping gazing out the window. The new scenery is nice to be honest. The dark storm clouds, The deep vibrant green leaves on the tall soaked trees, and with the sun going down the lightening was pretty easy to see.
"Here we are!" I look ahead seeing a mud drive through leading to this small white old fashioned house. As me and my mom got out of the car I put my hood up as I stare at the house.
"Let's go check it out before we start unpacking" my mom had a yellow umbrella with black dots on it. I cross my arms and walk to the house.
The house wasn't that small, it was actually quite large for two people. The kitchen was average same with the bathrooms. Mom said I could have the bedroom that had its own bathroom. The floor was wooden and the walls were bland and white. My room needs a lot of work before I could call it home. My bathroom was already pretty close to my style. The tiled floor was dark grey and the wall was light grey. My mirror was big, with a fancy, old fashion, black frame. After I imagine a way to set up my bedroom, I felt excited. Maybe a new home is a good idea.
