When I was younger I used to walk over to my friends house. He had mulberry trees. I remember going over and picking them and eating them straight from the tree, they so yummy. I remember it was kind of like Russian roulette, never knowing if you were going to get a sour or sweet one. If you did get a sweet one, they were the best. I remember the juice of the berries staining my hand and cloths and not having a concern in the world what my mum would say. We used to laugh and chase each other with the blood red stains on our fingers. It was so much fun. I miss those times. We were so care free. Now the first thing I think of when I see or taste mulberries is those times in the warm evenings eating them with one of my oldest friend, and that makes me smile.
