Silent Rejection

When I look at you, you're always with the other girls,

They're laughing, flashing their teeth like pearls.

When I want to say hello,

You just ignore me and go.

Is it because I'm so cold-hearted on the outside?

If I could show my barricaded heart to you?

You always look like you're not having a good time.

Should I just go and forget you?

We aren't getting any closer.

You always focus on her.

If you had a choice between me and her-

Heck, I already know the answer.

I'm so frustrated- can't you just say you hate me?

You don't smile when I made hot chocolate and tea.

My heart feels like it's about to burst.

Of course, you don't know anything.

You can't hear the sad song that my heart sings.

You just accept the sweet candy and look away.

Did I see you smile, or was that my heart fluttering like a blue jay?

I'll watch you leave one day.

If I don't say anything now, will everything be okay?

They say don't be silent;

Since the beating of my heart is violent.

Just look at me and set me free.

Not those stupid frowns when you disagree.

Just make it obvious that you don;t like me.

So that I don't have to suffer this silent rejection.
