**Liam Darren POV**
"Bye!" I call out to my friends as I jump into my car and turn on the ignition. At last, Friday. Senior year is exhausting.
After I park my car and walk up my drive to the house I head to the kitchen. Grabbing a bag of Doritos and a can of coke, I make my way upstairs and turn on the TV. Just as I am about to set up the X-box I hear a knock on the door. "Come in!" I called. My mum opens the door with a smile on her face, her apron tied around her waist and her hair in a bun.
"We have guests coming for dinner tonight. Some of your fathers clients." She says. "You need to arrive down stairs ready, formal and punctual at seven." I sighed. Usually I didn't have to attend these unless they had children mum wanted me to keep company. Well, my little brother Calum tends to have more interaction with them as he's six but still, usually they were to young to have a conversation with.
My dad had a business where he'd set up lives for young families. He'd find houses, find jobs, explain the best ways to save money and even sort out family conflicts. Which is why I, an 18 year old teenage boy that would like nothing more then to sleep and eat has to help portray the perfect family image whenever his clients are around. It's also why they're always younger children.
None the less I put on a dress shirt and dark jeans on. Until seven I played on the X-box and ate Dorito.
I hear the doorbell being rung and check my watch; 7;00. I trudge down the stairs and to the front door. My mum, dad and brother are all standing around talking to a group of people, gathered around the front door.
"This is our eldest son, Liam." Dad introduced me. "Liam this is Paul, Mary and Lucy." I lift my head and shake their hands politely. As expected the little girl, Lucy, looked around six. "They've also got two daughters around your age who are arriving separa-" he was cut off by the sound of tires swerving on the drive. My eyes widened as I saw a body getting off a motorcycle. I saw the mother shake her head disappointedly whereas the father seemed to be proud as the driver took off her helmet and shook out her hair. She was gorgeous.
"Sorry for being late, I lost track of time." She called out once she was in ear shot.
"You finished fixing it?!" Her dad asked smiling hugely. She smiled and nodded her head. As she comes nearer I take on her appearance. Black skinny jeans, white top and a leather jacket. Simple but effective.
She looked to be my age, which confused the hell out of me. The oldest child my father has had to work with was nine, but it's none of my business I guess.
"You're late." Her mum simply stated.
"I was finishing the bike." She answered.
"You're not wearing a dress." Her mum accused.
"It's difficult to ride the bike in a dress ." She replied.
"I told you to take the car."
"Lillian borrowed my car earlier because hers was in the shop. She wanted to go to the mall with her friends."
Her mum was about to open her mouth to point out something she's done wrong once more when she stuck out her hand to my father and said, "Hello Mr. Darren, it's ever so nice to meet you. I'm Blair, sorry for being late." In a polite voice. They shook hands and my father lead everyone into the kitchen.
"Liam, Calum, why don't you take Blair and Lucy into the living room and play on the Xbox or something.'' By dad suggested. "We'll send Lillian in when she arrives."
