Before the world,
there was Darcy,
thats all i remeber,
Darcy,
Darcy was the sun,
lighting up my days,
with freckeled cheeks,
and wild eyes,
with muddy hands interwined,
with scraped knees and bandaids,
warm hugs,
and comfortable numbness,Before the cosmos,
There was Darcy,
Dancing round,
Familiar and welcoming,
As we grew,
Darcy became like space to me,
Mysterious and waiting to be explored,Before i learned to breathe,
There was Darcy,
there was no need for air anyway,
Darcy stole it all away,
every time they exhaled my name,
with every smile my way,
every visit to my room,
and every peck on the cheek,Before Pain,
There was Darcy,
Sitting on my bed,
My head on their lap,
Playing with my freshly washed curls,
Huming to me of love,
Of lies,Before their was heartbreak,
There was Darcy,
Making plans for our lives,
Together till the end,
Darcy was never good a plans,
Or promises for that matter,Before I learned to cry,
There was Darcy,
Cutting me off,
And running away,
Maybe its best if I do too,Before the world,
There was Darcy,
But now Darcy can shine without my influence,
im left obsolete and rusting
in what was once ours.
