Real quick!  The photo above is basically how I imagined Mimi, only slightly more curvy like Lady Tsunade!

We followed Kankuro as we rushed to help the Kazekage.  The other Sand Shinobi seemed unsure of our presence but I spoke quickly.  "We are allies of Suna, please allow us to help!  My comrade has plenty of medical ninjutsu training and I myself have a basic knowledge.  I'm aware of the seriousness and only wish to help."  The older Shinobi grunts and begins barking orders again.  I look back up to see Shinobi attempting to take the Akatsuki member down.  I rush out to help.  I do a few signs and mumble out "poison dart jutsu" and thrust my hand forward, porcupine like needles shoot from the extended hand, barely missing.  I curse and attempt to get higher and closer to the Akatsuki member, I manage to get enough momentum to lunge forward and grab one of my fans, trying to cut at the clay bird he rode on.  I slice at the bottom, but once I land on a building and look up, I see I didn't do much damage.  He crosses the wall.  I look back and see Kankuro rushing out of the gates and I run to follow.  It took me a moment to catch up but I finally match strides with the brother of the Kazekage.  "Lord Kankuro!  I know I am not a Shinobi of the sand, but please take my assistance as the leaf helping in the return of your Kazekage."
Kankuro furrowed his brows but nodded.  "Fine, but don't stand in my way.  I will get my brother back safely."
"I understand.  I will stand as your back up."  I followed the ninja through the desert until we caught sight of two Akatsuki members.  I had to stop myself from gasping.  As Kankuro was angerly speaking to them, I tried my best to get a look at the enemy.  It was hard to distinguish much due to their attire.  When Kankuro released his puppets, I opened both my fans and stood ready to fight.  The Akatsuki member with Gaara lifted up higher to fly off and Kankuro attempted to use his puppet to stop him, but the other member stopped him.  I used the small moment to jump and attempt to attack as well, only to have the scorpion like tail stab at me.  I grabbed the side of it and barely dodged the pointed tip from hitting me in the stomach.  I dropped to the ground and grunted as I rolled and lifted my body back up, war fans up in preparation.  "Don't think you're going to stop us little girl."
I frowned and held onto my war fans tighter.  This wasn't going to be easy.  "Hey!  Back off, I'll handle him."
I looked to Kankuro, but he was focused on Sasori.  I grunted but took a few steps back, looking to see if I could see Gaara.  I glared back at Sasori once I realized Gaara was out of sight.  If the moment wasn't so tense, I honestly would have admired Kankuro's skilled use of his puppets.  I stayed back and watched, waiting for my moment to help.  Though it seemed as if Sasori knew every move Kankuro was going to make.  Kankuro was hit in the chest with the end of the sqorpion tail.  I started to rush forward but Kankuro stopped me again.  The situation was bad.  All 3 of his puppets were basically out of commission.  Kankuro was angry.  He asked "You deserted us 20 years ago, why come back to us now."  I looked up surprised at what Sasori said next, "Why bother asking questions when you're about to die."
Suddenly Kankuro gasped and fell forward.  "SHIT! KANKURO!"  I rushed to him and placed my hand on his back.  I glared at Sasori, the tip of his scorpion tail must be poisoned.  Sasori went to attack Kankuro again but I used my war fan to hit the tail away.  I rushed up and sliced at his throat, barely missing but I cut part of his face mask off.  I jumped back and dodged the tail again as it swung at me.  I could feel my adrenaline pumping as I waited for his next move.  He looked to Kankuro.  "Since you want to live so badly I won't finish you off.  I'll let the poison set its course.  You'll wish I hadn't though, for the pain will be unimaginable.  You won't survive past 3 days."  He looked towards me.  "I'm tired of wasting my time.  I suggest you either end his suffering or watch him die.  Take me sparing you as the greatest of honor."
I growled as he turned away.  I heard Kankuro speak his brothers name and his body went limp when I turned to him.  "Shit.."  I looked back at Sasori, but he was too far away.  I put my fans away and rushed over.  I did my best to lift the unconscious sand sibling up so I could put him on my back.  I groaned at the weight but did my best to drag us back where we came, hoping to save his life.  I'm not sure how long I trudged on but I could feel my body falling forward from the weight of Kankuro.  I wheezed when I fell to my knees.  I rolled Kankuro onto his side and grabbed a small water bottle from my bag.  I drank a fourth of it and dribbled another fourth of it onto Kankuro's lips.  I frowned when his only reaction was a painful groan.  I stretched for a moment and maneuvered Kankuro back onto my back.  I finally saw a few sand Shinobi and did my best to shout out for help.  The older Shinobi from before reached us first.  I fell back onto my knees but looked up.  "Sasori... poisoned him... please help him.."
Baki motioned for someone to pick up Kankuro.  Another attempted the same with me but I stopped him.  "No!  I'm going back for his puppets."
Baki didn't even bat an eye.  "You two help her then bring her to the hospital to be evaluated."
I stood up and guided the others to the location of the fight.  I walked to where Sasori mainly stood and noticed the piece of cloth I cut from his mask was next to one of the puppet arms.  We bundled the pieces up and made our way back to Suna.  The sun was setting when I was finally seen by a doctor.  He barely got the chance to look me over.  "Please, how is Kankuro."
The man stepped back.  "He's still alive. There's no sure chance he's going to survive the poison though.  Baki has went to bring a specialist to him and hopefully cure him."
I shoved my hand carelessly into my back and pulled out one of my mother's journals and opened to a random page, "Please let me help!  I specialize in this.  I don't know for sure but maybe these journals can at least help!"
The doctor looked wary.  "Ma'am you're not of this village, I don't think allowing you to-"
"I already risked my life following him to try and save your Kazekage AND I carried him through the desert so he could be treated!  I just want to help!"
The man pondered a moment then motioned for me to follow.

I let out a frustrated sigh as I slam the journal close.  So far none of the antidotes were working and Kankuro wasn't getting better.  I grabbed a damp cloth and began wiping the face paint off, most of it was smudged from sweat anyways.  A sand Shinobi stood in the corner watching me to ensure I didn't cause harm to Kankuro but frankly he was the last person on my mind.  I glanced over Kankuro again and sighed.  I said I specialize in antidotes but here is my first real patient who needs an antidote and I fail.  I clench my fists and grab another journal, hoping I missed something that could help.  Suddenly and old couple burst in and immediately begin to examine Kankuro.  I knew these were the specialists that Baki had sent for.  I stepped away and stood next to Baki as I watched the older woman check over him.  "I am sorry.."  Baki looked down at me as I continued.  "I was no help fighting the Akatsuki and I didn't make a breakthrough on the antidote for Kankuro.  I told you I was here to help on behalf of the Leaf but so far I've done nothing."
"Baki shook his head.  "You followed him out there and carried him back.  You stood beside him and helped.  Thanks to you he was brought back and now Lady Chiyo will help.  You've done plenty."
I pursed my lips but kept quiet, I really didn't feel like I did much.  Baki had long since left but I stayed to watch this Lady Chiyo work on Kankuro.  Every antidote she created didn't work.  Every failed antidote frustrated me more.  I've seen people die before, but this situation was more painful for some reason.  The door opened and my spirits raised slightly at the sight of my dad.  That is until Lady Chiyo attacked.  I stood in front of Kankuro and watched the scene unfold.  Everyone but Sakura left the room.  I watched and helped as Sakura helped Kankuro.  Once she was finished she smiled at me.  "He's gonna be ok."  I wiped Kankuro's face dry from sweat once more and nodded meekly at Sakura.  Dad, Naruto, Baki and Kankuro's sister Temari filed in the room and began stratigizing their next move.  I sat quietly as Kankuro woke up and joined in on the conversation.  I looked up when my dad spoke.  "I want to go where Sasori and Kankuro fought, try and see if I can track down his scent."
I stood up.  "I can do you better!"  I walked over to the table the sand Shinobi who had been watching me was standing next to and grabbed a bag.  I gently grabbed the corner of the fabric inside the bag and held it up.  "During the fight I attacked Sasori and managed to cut part of his face mask off.  I made sure to collect this when I went back for Lord Kankuro's puppets."
"You went back for my puppets?"
I rubbed at the back of my neck, hoping I wasn't blushing.  "Well I mean you sounded so proud of them, I didn't want them getting lost out there.."
My dad gave me an odd look as I handed him the cloth.  I vouched to stay behind and tend to Kankuro when everyone was planning their next move.  As everyone started out my dad walked over to me and spoke softly.  "Are you ok Mimi?"
I looked down and shrugged.  "You all have it covered, I proved myself not very useful last time I was against an Akatsuki member.  I'll stay behind as back up."
Dad gently touched my shoulder before leaving with the others.  I sighed again and began putting my journals back into my bag.  "Thank you."
I jumped, nearly forgetting about Kankuro who was now facing me.  "No need to thank me Lord Kankuro."
"Just Kankuro, you've done enough for me to not need to add the lord."
I nodded my head and walked back over to the chair, "you should rest, the poison may be gone but your body needs to cope."  Kankuro shook his head but I stopped him.  "You've done your part, relax and let my friends help ok?  I promise you that if anyone can bring your brother back, it's those guys."  I gave my best comforting smile and Kankuro smiled back.
Kankuro seemed to get comfy as he spoke.  "I trust you won't kill me in my sleep if I rest?"   I rolled my eyes and nodded.
