Prologue-
"We're meant to be together." I pleaded with my ex-wife as she held a vial that would vanquish me if she threw it. Her face was unreadable until she said, "I don't think so." and hurled the potion at my body. The flames were excruciating, what was I to expect from a potion made by a Charmed One? Then there was nothing. No Heaven and no Hell. I certainly didn't deserve Heaven with every terrible thing I'd done. Phoebe was right, I had no chance at being a good person. I'm not sure how long I was suspended in the Darkness, there was no way to track the time, but I liked it better that way. There are so many things I'd like to have done differently. I should have let Phoebe go when she divorced me instead of chasing her around and trying to get her back. I should have just let her live.

Suddenly that same fire that ignited my vanquish was licking at my body and I was being transported through someone else's power. For the first time since I was vanquished I felt flat ground beneath my feet. I looked to my surroundings and saw the Underworld. My home! How did I get here? It would have taken a great source of power to bring me back. The Source! It must have been a new Source that wants me to serve him. I kept very quiet in case any demons were coming to assassinate me to settle some score. I didn't hear any footsteps only a voice.

"Hello, Belthazor." I recognized that voice, that voice is supposed to be dead. I turned around to see if it was true and it was. "Surprised to see you here Prue." The same cocky smile went across her face, the face I always loathed and that loathed me back. "I bet you're also surprised that I'm the new Source." In all my years as a demon I have never been more stunned. How could a good witch be the Source of all Evil? A dead witch at that. "Ah, so which plane did you come from?" I asked amused. Personally I'd have liked to see a plane of existence that had Prue as the Source of all Evil. "I'm still in my plane I only brought you from yours to serve me in another. You're supposed to be the Source's right hand so do your job." I'm intrigued by this alternate plane. Maybe things will work out better for me here. "Who is my target?"

Prue looked pleased that I accepted her role as the Source. "Her name is Caroline Roth. She's a very dangerous witch. She was thrown into a different plane-the same plane that you were born in- at birth to be the key to my death. She needs to be killed before she can return to this plane and kill me." Seeing Prue is this evil role made me giddy. As much as we hated each other in my plane I knew she'd make a fantastic demon, power hungry as she was. "You'll transport me to the day of my divorce to Phoebe, and as a condition I want to execute Paige. What is she like in this plane? What is it like here?" I asked with an increasing amount of curiosity. She rolled her eyes in annoyance. "I killed Paige right at birth, I knew that if she lived then if they'd wanted to replace me they could just kill me and they'd have their replacement and I'm not replaceable." She considered my terms with a stern glare that I knew when she was alive in my plane. "Fine. But this witch needs to be dead before she figures out how to transfer planes." Her eyes flashed to a black nothing as she grinned with an evil glow, "I'm going to send you back with the same powers you had when you were last in your plane. You will be back to being invincible, that should ensure our victory."

She didn't let me have another say and she forced me on my way. Then I was in a leather office chair. I looked around and saw my old office. Business as usual. I clicked the intercom button to reach my assistant, "I need a P.I. file on a Caroline Roth on my desk by tomorrow. Make the arrangements." I barked. I searched through the files on my desk to see if there were any cases that I couldn't push onto other associates. There wasn't anything too interesting in the pile and these cases were no brainers. I called in the firms newest interns. "Whoever can win the most cases out of all of these will be immediately promoted to associate. Dig in."

I threw the files into their hands and let them shuffle out like the fresh law school idiots they are. Underneath the files was a news paper, I shuffled through the pages until I stumbled on a picture of me with a divorce announcement page. It had the court date and time exactly how I remembered. I looked at my watch, the court date was in an hour. I looked in my top left drawer and found my car keys. I shimmered to my car and decided to drive to the courthouse to divorce Phoebe. If I'm planning to kill her sister I don't thing being close to Phoebe will work this time. The freak rainstorm created traffic jams all over town. I pulled into a parking garage a mile from my office and shimmered to the mens bathroom in the courthouse.

I checked my watch and saw that just getting that mile from my office took forty five minutes. I arrived in the judge's chambers and saw that even Phoebe hadn't arrived yet. Last time I arrived late and tried to convince Phoebe that I'd be a good demon. I can't wait to see her face when she sees I'm ready to divorce her. The judge sat down at his desk. "Ah, you must be Mr. Turner, I was told you were missing." Dying would certainly fall under the "Missing" category with Phoebe involved. "You honor I was in New York for a little while evaluating the state of my marriage, we're divorcing, but as you can see, I'm not missing." His unsettled glance didn't seem convinced. Phoebe's shrill voice exploded from the door. "You son of a bitch!"

She was angry. Perhaps rightfully so I've tried time and again to kill her family and she's successfully killed me a couple times and I just keep coming back. "Ms. Halliwell, let's move this along." The judge said impatiently. "You pushed this divorce through as fast as it can possibly go now let's get through this." Phoebe glared at the judge as if that mattered. I touched her arm and she flinched away from me. "Sweetie, sit down." I said calmly. She fell into the closest chair, "Don't call me that. We're here for a divorce you bastard." She snarled at me. Even when she didn't have Evil in her she was vicious. "Alright, Phoebe, do you still wish to go through with this divorce?" The judge asked her as a formality. She huffed and crossed her arms. "Absolutely." He gave her a copy of the divorce papers to be signed. He then asked me the same question. "Cole do you want to go through with this divorce?" I thought about what I should say but one thing rang out clearer than the rest. "I don't want to be married to this witch for another second." The glare that resonated from Phoebe was priceless and the shock wasn't well hidden either. I could barely contain myself as I was reading the divorce papers. I signed my name at the bottom, finalizing the divorce.

As we both left the chamber I stopped her from walking away. "How's Piper and the baby?" I asked casually from memory. Phoebe's eyes flashed with suspicion and distrust. "How do you know about Piper?" She shook her arm from my grasp. I narrowed my eyes at her, "Oh Honey, you don't know the powers I have now." She backed away from me. "Is that a threat?!" She shrilled again. How did I not go deaf? "Not to you." I said and shimmered to my car. I sat in the comfortable seat and flipped the ignition on.

Now to find Caroline and kill Paige.
