Cassandra's POV

I am the Ocean's child. I have the body of a human, and the soul of the great sea inside me. For as long as I can remember I've lived on this peaceful island, It's been my only home. But.......now....... Now I must leave my home, and travel across the sea to a new home. I'm scared to leave but. I want to know what lies ahead.

"Child, you must leave here. I've kept you here long enough, it's unhealthy."

"Do I have to leave right now? Can't it wait, please?" Do I have to leave so abruptly?

"You do not have to leave right this minute, but you will be leaving. I'm sorry. Tomorrow, you will travel ashore to a new home. Understand?"

"Ok, I-l understand, I guess." I had one more day left, that's good enough for me.

"Until then, go to sleep my child. You must drained. Goodnight."

" good night." I walked bad to the forest, back to my home. I enter my small wooden hut and fall on the large pile of leaves and vines that is my bed. I turn over and laid on my back, staring at the ceiling.

"It's my last night here" I say to myself. I don't know what to say. I scared, confused, and excited all at the same time. But.....most of......all......I'm really.........really.......sleepy.

~~TIME SKIP~~

I had a dream that night. I was standing on a rock in the middle of the Ocean. I wasn't doing anything, all I can remember it the sky. It was full of stars and galaxies and planets, it was beautiful. The ocean; it was a mirror image. Suddenly, I saw something, in the distance. A small flame.

I awaken to sun light beaming in through the small holes in the wall. Sunrises were always beautiful, but today I wished the sun didn't have to rise. I pack some fruit into a woven basket I made. I hope it holds enough, I don't want to get hungry. I arrive at the beach, I heard the Ocean speak:

"I hope you are ready, my child." I hope I'm ready as well.

" Will it be a long journey? Is this enough?" I really don't want to have to go back.

"Yes,That's enough, and the journey will take minimal amount of time."

"Ok. So...um...how am I supposed to get to....where ever I'm going?" (Swim)

"Simply walk across the ocean."

"I'm sorry, what?"

"You are apart of the ocean, you are not bound to the physical properties of water as other humans are. Once you fully unlock your powers you'll be able to move freely in, or on, water. You'll be able to control water, in any of it's forms, and even be able to freeze it solid. Understand?"

"Ok, but how am I supposed to 'unlock' these powers?" (Do I really have powers?)

"Leave that to me."

The waves below seemed to rise from the sand, and from into a giant...hand? 'Be calm' the ocean said. I was lifted a few feet from the ground. Another hand appeared, in a pointing position. It gently laded itself onto my chest where my heart is. I could hear the voices talk.
