*Syn's POV*

It was kinda hot as we got out of Matt's car.

"Ya ready?", he smiled at me.

"No, I'm not. But it's not like I've got a choice, right?", I asked back, also with a smile on my face.

"That's ma boy, let's do this", he said as we crossed the street and entered the tattoo shop.

The small bell on top of the door rang, as I opened it, the tattooed guy, that sat on the desk looked at us.

"Syn Gates and M. Shadows! Hey guys, nice to see you again!", he greeted us, left his desk and gave us both a hug.

"Hey, Ray. Nice to see you too", I said.

"What can I do for you guys? You want something to drink?", he asked.

"I'd take a water, if you don't mind", Matt said and looked at me, "what about you Syn?"

"You've got JD?", I wanted to know.

"Sure, I'll just go to the back and take your beverages. Will be back in a minute."

He left Matt and me alone.

"Seriously, Brian?", Matt asked me, his look was full of disappointment, but I didn't know, what I could have done wrong.

"What?!"

"You're asking what? It's fucking 3PM and you're already ordering heavy alcohol! You're drinking way too much the last time."
God, that never ending story again. I gave him an annoyed look.

"Matt, I'm going to get inked. On my chest. You know what hell of pain that is, just let me get myself numbed a bit."

"If you say so", he murmured, as Ray came back and handed us our drinks.
"Let's go and sit down on that table. I wanna know, what I can do for you guys today."
We followed him and sat down. I took a folded piece of paper out of my pocket.

"I was thinking about getting this one down all over my chest. But in a way, that the R, the E and the V would be visible with a V-neck shirt.", I told him.

"Have you already thought about the font of the letters?", Ray asked.

"Not really, wanted to get inspired by you", I smiled.

Ray got up and grabbed some books with different types of signs.

"Something straight or more vintage?"

"Vintages sounds cool to me", I answered.

"What about this one?", he showed me an example text.

The letters were all written capital style and pretty simple, but with little scrolls below each letter.

"That's pretty. I think, that's the one."

I really liked it, it was simple but still a bit majestic. I emptied my JD.

"Ray, can I have another one?", I asked, ignoring Matt's angry looks.

"Sure. I'll do a pattern then, put it on your chest and then we can start."
I nodded, he brought me my drink and went back to the desk, where he drew the pattern on a piece of paper.

"Are you sure about this, Bri? It'll be all over your chest and visible to everyone."

"Matt, please", I laughed, "look at my arms. I'm already full with ink. And why shouldn't it be visible to everyone?"
