When I got the snapchat I knew it wasn't going to be good. It was from Jess. She was a year younger than me and new to my school. I had a strange feeling all day and now I know why. I dared to open the snapchat and luckily it was just a crazy picture of Jess as usual. I turn off my phone and do my homework when I turn it back on about an hour later I have nine snapchats from Jess. I open the first one and it's again just a crazy picture. I open the next one and it's a picture of her in her car. She sends me two more and then on the third I realize a figure in the background. The next one the figure is next to her car. Now I'm scared. My hands trembling I open the next one and Jess is gone. It's just blackness. Then I stop. I'm to scared to open it, but I do. With my throat as dry as sand I open it. Jess was in the back of a car not her car but a black car. She was yelling and banging and struggling. The last one. I can't I need to find her. She can't be gone. I need to open the last snapchat. It could help me find her or even better could be all a joke. It has to be a joke. This can't be happening. I open the last one with tears starting to roll down my cheeks. It's the figure with the caption saying "Watch out your next". It's not a joke. This can't be real. My first instinct is to call the cops so I do. When I tell them what happened they asked to see the pictures, and of course I forgot to snapshot them so I tell them I don't have them. I don't know where she lives or where she was when it happened. I tell the police and they say they will try their best and hang up. I call my friend Nick and Rose to help me because they both know Jess. We meet at Nick's house because he lives closest to us. We had no idea what to do. We were also scared because the figure could find us first. Why does he want Jess? Who is he or she? Then there's a knock at the door. Rose goes to get it and before we can ask who's there she runs back to us and says ",we need to get out."

We're running not knowing what's happening. I'm thinking to myself was the figure there? I have no idea. Then I realize where I am. I'm running. My legs are burning and feel weak like they could collapse any second, but I ignore the uncomfortable feeling and keep running. We're in the woods behind Nick's house. We don't stop until the trees get thick. We stop in want seems like the center of the woods. I sit down to catch my breath. I'm breathing so heavy I feel like the entire world can hear. That's the most running I have ever done. When we sit Rose tells us that there was nobody at the door. All she saw was a car. A black car. She heard voices also right outside the door. Then we hear sirens. I smell something burning. The sirens get closer and closer until the sound stops growing. There at Nick's house. They have to be. He lives in the middle of no where. His closest neighbors are about 3 miles away. We run again to the end of the woods knowing the danger that could be there. We get there to find what I suspected a fire. The house luckily was empty because Nick's parents weren't home. Neither was his brother or sister. The house is nearly ashes. The fire must have been really bad. I turn around to Nick sobbing. His face wet with tears and his eyes bright blue. Then he runs. He can't look at the remains of what his house was. Me and Rose run behind him. We stop at the same spot as last time but Nick's not there. "Nick", calls Rose. We call his name for what feels like hours, but in reality was only 20 seconds. He's gone. Them my phone buzzes. It's a snapchat for Jess. I immediately start to weep. Rosie looks at me like I'm crazy. She has no idea what the snapchats have to do with this so I tell her. I tell her about all the snapchats from today. I'm about to open the snapchat when I hear Rose start weeping too. She realized what has happened and so have I. I open the snapchat and just as I suspected. Nick has been captured also.
Rose is screaming. She crying with her face red and scared. She's shaking and just falls right in front of me. She falls. She's alive, I think. I call her name she looks up with a face full of rage. Nick was one of her best friends.
