"Come on, Charlie, I can't wait to let you meet Ryan!" Brendon said while he sprinted out of the front door. Charlie nodded in response, clearly wondering about the sudden mood change of Brendon. "Yeah yeah, wait for me then!" She responded as she sighed.

Before Charlie could walk out, Dallon grabbed her by the shoulder, making Charlie slightly jump. "Please, keep an eye on him, okay?" The man said, his voice filled with concern. Charlie furrowed her brows, "What's the matter? It's just Brendon, it's not like he's the spawn of evil." She chuckled at the end of her sentence, thinking it's a good joke. Dallon's eyes widened, but then he softly laughed at the woman. "Yeah, you're right." He said while he pushed a little note into Charlie's hand, "Be careful around Ryan, alright?" Charlie shook her head, clearly not understanding that Dallon was being sincere. "Alright, he's going to be okay, I promise." Dallon gave her a warm smile and let go of Charlie's shoulder, "Thank you, dear."

Charlie returned the small smile as she ran after Brendon.

Dallon heaved a sigh, (I'm going to regret this. Or maybe not, Dallon, Gale can handle Brendon.) Dallon thought when he made his way to the living room. (But Gale isn't exactly 'Gale' right now.)

As Dallon came into living room, his eyes gazed on the distressed figure that belonged to Angelique. The poor woman sat on the couch like a sack of potatoes. The demon was unsure what to do, he can only feel emotions around certain people, so he's clueless how to react. Dallon chose to clear his throat, just to announce that he's present in this room.

Angelique looked up with puffy eyes, a sign that she clearly was crying. Dallon swallowed the lump in his throat, his mind trying to place himself in the woman's situation. He failed, cursing his lack of emotions. "How are you doing? He asked awkwardly.

Angelique huffed, "Fantastic, don't worry about it!" Dallon sensed a little bit of sarcasm in that sentence. "Was that sarcasm?" The demon asked while looked his own shoes, he notice that he needs to polish his shoes again, they're dusty and not shiney. He looked up at the sound of Angelique sighting in annoyance, "Yes, Dallon, do I look like my world is filled with rainbows and sunshine?!"

Dallon furrowed his brows, how does he answer this. (Think, Dallon, think. Rainbows and sunshine. Got it!)

"No, it's a cloudy day, so that's impossible." He responds with a straight face.

Angelique's whole body tensed up by that comment, and at that moment, Dallon knew he messed up.

"Could you take me serious for one goddamn minute?! Don't you see how serious and fucked up our situation is right now?!" Angelique stood up from the couch, clenching her fist, so hard that you could see her biceps. "Angelique I-" Dallon tried to calm the shorter woman, although her height, she was very intimidating. "No! Since all 'this', my life has been like hell! I've been kidnapped, tortured, and completely ripped out of my normal life! And just when things are good and neat, some British boy drags us back into this bullshit! I lost everything!" New tears began to pour down Angelique's cheeks, "My girlfriend doesn't even know who I am, don't you know how fucking painful that is?!" The woman's breath was now uneven.

Dallon didn't know what to do, so he did what he saw humans do on television. He rushed towards the with anger shaken woman and pulled her into a tight hug. Angelique tensed up first and didn't return the hug, "If you don't hug me back, it'll be very awkward." Dallon muttered. Angelique sighed as a sign of surrender, returning the hug and relaxing a bit.

"I don't know what to do anymore, Dallon. We've got so many problems... And... And I'm not sure if we can solve them." Angelique said, her voice still cracking. Dallon's mind was racing, he wasn't sure how to respond, without messing up. But luckily, Angelique spoke again before Dallon could. "Can I ask you something, Dallon?" "Of course, I think, depends on the question." Dallon calmly replied, his fingers brushing through Angelique's longer hair. "Why are you nervous showing your emotions? When you're with Brendon, you don't seem to have any problems showing them, why is that?" The shorter woman quietly asked the taller demon.

The demon didn't know how to respond, he never thought about that way. Of course he knows how emotions work with demons, but never noticed that he's acting differently around Brendon. Of course Dallon likes him, and wants him to be safe at all costs, likes his smell, he even gets a weird feel in his stomach. But that doesn't mean anything out of the ordinary, right? Yes, they kissed, but Brendon kisses a lot of people, which is also Ryan.

Dallon's stomach turns about the thought. He's never trusted Ryan, that man is one sneaky bastard. Ryan knows only power and lust, Dallon is the only one who sees it. Brendon deserve the best, someone who truly loves him. (Wait Dallon no, you're feeling jealousy now! You don't like Brendon, well you like him, but only as a friend.... Right?) The demon's emotions were confusing him, it gave him a headache.

Dallon was abruptly pulled out of his thoughts by Angelique's voice, "Dallon? Are you okay?" The demon jumped again, (Am I okay? I can't even control my own emotions toward Brendon. I'm not sure.) The demon noticed that he was still hugging Angelique, who was standing a little bit awkward now. He quickly released the young woman, stumbling in the process.

"I, uhm, need to go." Dallon said, rushing out of the living room as he felt his cheeks heaten up in embarrassment. Angelique ran after him yelling, "Dallon?! Where are you going?"

She stopped before his bedroom door, the demon standing in the doorway, looking at the ground. "Leave me alone." He said before throwing the door shut with force. Angelique jumped of the object that was suddenly right before her face.

"Mood swings much?" Angelique muttered softly, mostly to herself.

She turned her head to the sound of footsteps that could be hurt right around the corner of the hallway. She heaved a sigh in relief, seeing that it was only Dan, no one dangerous.

Dan seemed to be stressed about something, biting his nails and having a troubled look on his face. The British boy noticed Angelique standing in the hallway and fastened his pass. "Hey, Ann, have you seen PJ and Chris?" He asked, still biting his nails. "No, I don't think so. The last time was last night, they were going outsi-" realization hit Angelique like a truck. Dan eyes widened, "You don't think that- that the Ezekai caught them, do you?!" Dan raised his voice a little, covering up that he's more nervous. "I hope not, maybe they had a fun night together?" Angelique suggested, more hoping that this was true. It didn't seem to calm Dan. "Look, I'll get Jack. He's in the basement, fixing some things about the weapons, just wait a bit." Angelique said as she wanted to walk away, but was stopped by Dan placing his hand on her shoulder, making her stumble back. "No, there's no time. We need to go, now!" He said with a low growl at the end of his sentence.

Angelique hesitantly nodded her head. And with that, they both went outside
