Percy

"What is all this!"

I had already fallen down the stairs once, but I guess my body decided that twice was acceptable. My uncle's scream had activated my mind faster than my body could follow.

I had rushed down the stairs and ended up tripping again. From the look on my family's faces, I didn't fall gracefully. Apollo and Hermes were snickering silently behind my uncle who had one hand over his mouth.

I groaned and got off the floor. Hearing the sound of quick steps, I turned and was met with the disheveled body of Harry.

"What's the matter, Sirius?" Harry asked breathlessly.

His question reminded everyone why we had all rushed to the scene. My uncle just pointed to the stack of stuff in the middle of the living room.

There were loads books and a number of black robes. Cauldrons and ingredients to go with it. Quills and even a pouch with something shiny inside it. I even saw a broom on the side of the pile.

Everything I needed for school was in that pile of things in the living room. Right next to it was a smaller pile of books and things I guessed Harry would need for his sixth year.

"We took the liberty of buying everything Percy would need for his school year." Hermes input helpfully as we all stood in awe.

"As well as Harry's things too." Apollo added.

"How did you even know what year he'd be in?" Sirius questioned slowly.

"Oh, Dumbledore of course!" Apollo chirped happily.

"Of course," My uncle mumbled,"What year is my nephew in?"

"Well, since Percy's 17, he should be a seventh year, but since Hogwarts has never taken in a student at that year, Dumbledore compromised by placing him in Harry's year." Hermes explained thoughtfully.

That made sense, at least I'd be in Harry's year, but from what my mother had told me, I wasn't guaranteed to be in the same house.

She was a Ravenclaw. Along with Sirius' placement in Gryffindor and my mom's Ravenclaw household, she said their parents weren't very pleased.

Their younger brother proceeded to fulfill the expected ancestry so I guess he was a favorite. Come to think of it, I haven't seen Kreacher around, I wonder where he is.

I'll go check out his cupboard later. That's where he tends to stay my mom said. She said that had a good relationship, one even closer than her younger brother and him did.

She really wanted me to meet him and Sirius. I guess I'm completing her wish, that made me feel happy. My uncle's words brought me back to the present.

"You're sure you got everything?" Sirius asked warily, walking around the pile.

"Everything but a wand and companion!" Apollo hummed cheerfully.

"I don't want a wand." I input instantly.

Sirius turned towards me flabbergasted,"Why not? You need one."

I frowned,"Not necessarily."

"To control your magic properly—"

I cut him off angrily,"I already told you. My mom taught me everything she knew without a wand. I can control my magic just fine."

"Oh yeah? Prove it!" Harry stepped in, raising his wand.

I could see in his eyes that he didn't like my statement or my defiance to his godfather. Well he clearly hasn't known me long enough.
