When Fish Scar numbly walked out of his den, he saw the others were moving just as slow. "Let all cats gather around to hear!" He yowled. Eagle's Speck emerged with Stone Frost, Curly Branch, and Hawk's Cry just behind her. Wolf Fur walked beside his father and sister. While Light Mist walked slowly her head bowed. "We are all shaken by the death of Bright Wind. She was a loyal cat for many moons. And she remained loyal and humble to the end. She will be remembered. And those gone before her will see her again, now let us give thanks to the ancestors and bury this cat." He meowed padded down the rock with the others slowly following behind him, their tails drooping. The old she-cat had touched them all so dearly. Wolf Fur blinked at the limp speckled brown she-cat who lay on her side through sad darkened eyes. The cats all bowed their heads in respect and carried her body to a clearing with a hole dug out for her to be buried in. Light Mist looked the most sad out of all of them. She was the only cat she had ever talked to out of the group. Three cats had died in the last moon. What was happening? Were the ancestors angry with them? They must have been surely to take three cats from them. But why? What could they have done to make the stars so furious? They haven't done anything..
"May she go in peace among the ancestors." Fish Scar meowed. They all headed back to camp. Viper Strike looked at Violet Leaf, the two were talking to each other quietly. Light Mist curled her lip. "Her death is a sign of all the changes we would experienced since we left the mountains! Don't you all see, I knew leaving our home was a horrible idea!" She hissed. "Yeah! What was Stone Storm even thinking!" Came Dapple Spots as he swung his muzzle to Pigeon Talon. "What were you thinking?"
"I was thinking for the group! Just like Stone Storm was when we came here!" She growled in response defensively.
"I hope whatever happens to us next, doesn't happen to Fish Scar. Because the ancestors have gone too far this time and the last thing we need is out new leader dead!" Light Mist sneered.
"Why don't we make the change?" Violet Leaf murmured leaning into Viper Strike's ear as she watched the mountain cats argue with each other.
"These old cats won't listen to us let along each other. Believe me I know that. They'll only listen to the stars, which is what they like call sense." The ginger tabby replied. "They'd be wise to give us a little more respect if anything. Rather than something as odd as the sky. I don't share much in things such as dead cats. Maybe that makes things easier on myself?" The black and orange she-cat meowed.
Wolf Fur blinked slowly. "I don't know why they bother trying anymore if I want to be completely honest.." he muttered almost aloud. "Kind of surprising to hear you of all cats say something like that my brother." Viper Strike mewed purring.
"A lot can happen in one moon." He meowed simply. The tom stared up at the slowly darkening sky.
"You're right my brother." She mewed in agreement. The stars seemed to be glowing but by the looks of the group, they were falling faster than an egg out of an eagle's nest. But the question was, what could they do about it?
